The slated shadow is actually the one shade in the palette that is in their super shock shadow formula where the others are their pressed shadow formula. It’s technically the same formula as koosh and ritz, which is why they all feel a bit wet and cushiony. I tend to use these more as a topper to add a bit more glam to my looks, but they can be a bit messy and take some getting used to. I use my finger to apply them. Your look turned out super pretty and I can’t wait to try it once I get my order in the mail!
This look is beautiful! As for the glitter shadows I had the same problem with the too Faced Born This Way , Natural Nudes palette.I could not apply them with a brush at all. And even with my finger it made a mess. I ended up getting a glitter primer and that helped a lot! I do also love the lipgloss and the lip pencil I will definitely be trying those !
I finally just ordered That's Taupe since the new Stone Cold Fox is sold out. Their stuff is always sold out! My Ulta doesn't carry much Colourpop either. I wonder if the shimmer shades would be better with either your finger or spraying the brush with some sort of setting spray first?
I know, it’s always a bummer when they sell out! That’s Taupe was out of stock for awhile too so I’m glad you were able to get it! I’ve tried a few different methods for applying the shade Slated and nothing has really worked any better. I’ve been applying it with my finger and although it’s not the easiest I’ve been getting the best color payoff that way!
Slated is definitely a super shock shadow, they like to add one in just about every palette. Of course not every single palette but a lot of them. Another way you can know what it is is to go onto their website and in the palette description it tells you what each shadow is (I.e glitter, powder, pigment, super shock) and it’ll tell you which ones are technically eye safe etc. when In doubt check out the website and it’ll give you all the information you need about that palette
The color you stuck your finger in is a super shock shadow formula which is better used with finger application it is just the way it supposed to be formulated and what makes them different than anything else on the market. Super shocks shadows are what made colourpop who they are, when they first opened they used to have supershocks eyeshadows and liquid lipsticks in satin which was my favorite formula, mattes, and glosses. The matte shadows that have glitter in them are there to help the blending process and the glitters usually fall out. Colourpop has the best formula for your money, I would try more of them! You look beautiful!
Thank you for the info! I’ve gotten a lot of tips and learned how to use the super shock shadows a bit better and they have actually become some of my favorites!!

That’s good to know - thank you for the info!! I’ll have to give slated a try as a topper next time! I hope you enjoy the palette 💕
Stoked on this look 😯

Several colourpop palletes have one supershock shadow and works well with the finger. Yoi should try other palletes without glittery one..
I did have a problem applying shadows too when I first bought them, and they do shed, but they’re are so affordable 🤷🏻♀️
I agree! They are nice shadows considering the price!
I wanna say the colourpop shadows work best with the synthetic brushes which they sell on their website.
Thanks for the info! I’ll have to give that a try!
