    thank you very much!
    you helped me a lot.
I have an iron that I bought more than 10 years ago.
The iron had a problem and I thought there was no solution.
    A good cleaning was enough.
Without your help I wouldn't have made it.

Can't believe there are no comments! THANK YOU! I have the Rowenta DG8520, so not everything is the same, but this video was really helpful! I also REALLY appreciate that you did not waste 5 minutes of my time talking about blah blah blah. :) THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

I would add one thing to this very helpful video: before cutting the wire, mark both sides so that when you splice, the same side wire is spliced to the same side. This is necessary since the plug's prongs has one long and one short (+/-), and you want the connections to be the same as before.

Looking for a video that shows me how to isolate the source of water leaking from the bottom of the iron. Can you (or anyone) give me tips on where to start looking once I disassemble the iron?

were you able to fix the leak?
I have the same problem and I will try to replace the sealant and see if it works.

We have used these irons for years and about once every year or so, they begin to leak and we end up purchasing a new iron, how do you fix that problem?

Only by cleaning, deep cleaning. Using anti-limescale liquid and putting the iron on a pan while boiling. And disassembling if necessary to clean inside.

Hey have you taken tank off. I have a white rubber pipe that for the life of me I'm not sure where it goes. It's for the steam blast. I'm gasket gluing the tank back on. So I can't test it first

Hi, really I don't remember. So much time passed since I've done it. Anyway, it's still working, and the steam going on well too, but I didn't touch the upper part inside the handle. It wasn't my case.

I have Model#DW9030 its water leaking.how to repair

    • @dmitryru53
      @dmitryru53  5 ปีที่แล้ว

No precise idea. The most common cause is dirt or encrustation from too mineralized water. Start disassembling and to see it step by step
