Id recommend adding a low/high pass filter as it can remove some of the muddiness you get using drive with sims High pas ≈100hz and and low pass ≈10khz should be good, although you can mess with it to suit your tastes, although keep in mind if you go higher than 100 youll start losing low end, and vice versa if you come below 10k
I may or may not have just pirated the Helix software just so i can do this. Im having a bit of trouble, as when I ad the rat distortion for the solo drive, the the sound gets very noisy. Maybe im just doing something wrong but i could use some help

You can try adding a noise gate somewhere in the chain or use an EQ to dampen it. I don't use this method anymore so I don't know for sure.

you do not need hx stomp. helix native is a completely digital plugin
