That Gucci owner is kinda refreshing. He loves what he wears. Plus his pops knew that he only likes numberless dials. So that's some sentimental value right there. We get a lot of big Japanese and European brands here and there's a good reason why they command respect. I don't care so much for Gucci as a brand. But it's nice to see something different every once in a while. All watches are welcome here. So thank you for featuring the Gucci guy and for making this series so inclusive.
this video structure you are doing is really nice....know more about peoples background is really interesting. The Omega was my favorite. Love omegas too.
You'll be excited for part 2 of our video, as there was another Omega we saw! whats your favourite omega of all time? my dad has a constellation he sometimes wears.
Thanks for your comment, and yeah, we are searching for one and we did find one but they didn't want to be interviewed in the ginza video. What's your favourite GS? :)
I love watches, I love japan, your channel has such an interesting content. You ask the right questions, to get the answer that satisfy my curiosity. Unfortunately, your channel is addictive for me😅 Love it! Thank you🙏🏼
I like the simplicity of the casio from the IT guy…it’s a GADA watch. I’m considering to buy a three hander oceanus on my next japan trip. The other watches of this vdo are not really my cup of tea. I would never buy this model of Lange & Söhne (fortunately tastes are different).
Thank you so much, we hope so too! It's always fun to talk to people about their watches and Tokyo is the perfect place, lots of variety in watches here!
I remember reading an article about the Lange 1 back in the early 90s. It was the first watch they designed after reestablishing the brand 46 years after the eastern part of Germany including the city of Glashütte fell into Russian hands after the end of WWII, and all the watch manufacturers in Glashütte were consolidated into one company that sold watches under the brandname Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe, shortened to GUB. It takes a master watchmaker 6 months to build one Lange 1. They were priced considerably cheaper back in the day, though. I think the price was around 35000 Deutschmark, which would be around 18000 Euro today. Great watch, although I prefer the Glashütte Original PanoReserve limited edition in platinum over the Lange 1. It’s more elegant and can be had secondhand for less than half of what the Lange 1 goes for. By the way, Glashütte Original is what became of what was left over of GUB, after what became A. Lange & Söhne split off from GUB after Germany reunified.
I had no idea about the history of Glashutte and Lange, and that it was so intertwined! thanks for the detailed writeup :) so I'm guessing it was your favourite watch this episode then?
@ most people don’t know. That’s why I mentioned it. Actually it wasn’t my favorite because he’s got the white dial version, I prefer the black dial. I know, I’m hard to please. 🤪 My favorite was the Rolex Datejust II with the blue face, the fluted bezel and the diamond indices.
@TheJapaneseFactory yeah, that's also a really nice shade of blue. That watch also looks awesome in two-tone with a white mother of pearl dial, or in all gold and a black diamond dial!
It's a special edition of the ana digi temp, a citizen from the 90s I believe. It's available in our store below 👇: thejapanesefactory.com/products/citizen-ana-digi-temp-1481010-independence-watch
Love your channel, mister Love the Japanese watch culture people lowkey wearing nice watches (and not the apple crap) Hopefully one day I’ll visit Japan and be corny and buy myself a GS to commemorate the trip 😅
@@TheJapaneseFactoryyeah, to each their own, but as a watch guy you need to know that all the fashion brand watches aren’t even close to being worth the money they sell for. It’s basically a 40 dollar quartz watch sold for several hundred bucks. Any automatic Seiko will be a better buy and there’s lots of nice Seikos to be had for that kind of money. If you go secondhand you could get something really nice!
1:34 Heil! To the brother wearing A. Lange. The brand is underrated. Actually, Deutsch brands like A. Lange, Glashütte and even entry levels like Nomos and Junghans are underrated and under appreciated.
I wouldn’t call Lange & Söhne an underrated brand.(Maybe less known outside the watch comunnity) ; it represents the absolute peak of watchmaking, with a very high percentage of handcrafted work. However, they can be quite difficult to obtain. German watches are amazing!
I agree with him tbh, everyone loses their minds over Rolex, and the holy trinity is even less well known than Rolex, and then A. Lange. is even less known than the Trinity, mostly people who are interested in haute horology only are aware of them. They make awesome watches to behold though for sure, I loved seeing it 👀
Thanks for asking that A. Lange owner really interesting questions. Really gave us some insight into the evolution of his preferences. He owns a stunning piece of horology.
We love a humble king with a Casio. As a software engineer he could certainly buy more expensive watches, but he bought what he likes 😁 and that's the most important thing. Do you have any casios? I'm wearing a dw-h5600 Casio g shock right now !
Are you sure you have the right model? I put it at 50-60k after seeing that chrono listing but he mentioned it's an Asia limited edition of the Lange series 1 with the little Lange on the dial so it might actually be worth more... LMK if you have any further info
Hi, it's a vintage citizen ana digi temp, it's available in our store here: (thejapanesefactory.com/products/citizen-ana-digi-temp-1481010-independence-watch)
I was literally in shock when it walked by us I had to run back and ask him, soooo nice to see in person. I think the only more expensive watch we've seen is a new platinum Daytona but he didn't want to be interviewed and this one is more my taste TBH. Have you seen one in person before? Especially the caseback is insane.
@ no I wish and I agree I think this is more of my taste since you don’t see them as often. And the story of how he got it was very interesting as well. He got so lucky sniping it lol
Will do mate! Any specific areas or non-interview style videos you'd like to see from our channel? ☺️ We are interested in doing some different content types as well
You got a new subscriber. I can't afford most of these watches with the exception of Casio lol, but I like to think of myself as a watch aficionado. It's surprising you hardly see Vacheron Constantin and Longines, but you see many APs, Pateks and Rolexes.
Don't worry, I can't afford a lot of these watches either 😂 but luckily its free to see them on others wrists or at an event or at an AD and to read about them. I haven't seen a VC in person yet but would love to. So the casio was your favourite? :)
We did capture a wristroll of one GS but he didn't want to be interviewed, we might do a "lost episode" which compiles all of the footage so far that didn't make the cut or wristroll only including that GS. Would this be interesting for you? 😁
@TheJapaneseFactory I like to hear the story of the watch and your current formatting of why and where they got it. I don't mind waiting for new eps to see what you guys find although!
AP is way overrated. It only has the RO for the past 3 decades. No innovations. Poor customer service. I still don’t understand how it’s part of the holy trinity.
I can certainly see the argument but those RO perpetual calendars are beautiful.I do like the 11.59 though recently but yeah.... lets hope any new release they do is not as bad as the Patek Phillippe cubitus 😂
I'm not a big fan of RMs either, but also I've never handled one so I can't make any comments yet 😂 have you handled a Patek/AP or RM in person before?
@ RM is a hyped Franc Muller that athletes, artists and influencer made it popular. Patek and AP carries beautiful materials, I sold my sub, cartier and kept my bb58, seiko and frederiqie constant.

Props to the A. Lange dude for being humble and not putting the old owner on blast haha.
😂 why would he put the old owner on blast? I'd be happy if the old owner wasn't aware of what he has so I could get it cheaper than true market rate 😉
u got it backwards he got it with a huge discount
Yeah thats what I got from the story, he got what was worth maybe 60-80k for the price of a standard series 1 (30-40k at the time)
Lange wow, absolutely stunner watch and not something you can see everyday
Absolutely! not something you see every day. Have you seen one in person before? the caseback is AWESOME.
Omega guy’s hair is photoshoot ready. Immaculate 👌
NGL bro was looking majestic! He had to look his best for Harajuku. I gotta level up FR 😤

I agree! At the end of the day, the only person's opinion that matters about your watch, is your own! Wear what you like 😁
i dig that Gucci, despite being a fashion watch...and he has a priceless story attached to it...
Yeah, the black dial, gold hands and strap give it an awesome look, I dig it too 😀
