One of my favorites from high school. Imagination and Junior opened the door for British R&B artists in the US. The video edit socks. Listen to the full album version on a proper sound system/speakers.
This cut was an immediate classic...and yes, back in the day I actually remember doing lines to this cut. Try them doing their other hit, "So Good, So Right".
It's funny you mention Halloween. This song which came out in 82' is on my halloween playlist with Rockwell, MJ & others. But now I guess I need to create a cocaine playlist, lol. Love your channel so much❤
Imagination were walking on water in the early 80's with this song, Body Talk, Music and Lights... too bad they didn't make it big in the US due to MTV's segregating practices at the time. But they were huge in Europe, tho.
I wonder why Imagination never caught on in America? These guys were on par with a number of funk and soul artists of the era. Too bad they were never recognizable. This is how they are subsequently discovered by younger generations.

First time hearing this although familiar with sampling. Funky jam! I like it. The coke reference had me 😂🤔 Always great to see you back, Jack 🙏✌️
Leee John (yes, triple-e) have his own TH-cam channel and is a great jazz singer on top on everything else he's done as part of Imagination.
I want to say this came out in '82.
You've gotta listen to some more Imagination....you're missing out!!!
Best version of this song is ending of a movie called F/X
The first thing I thought when I saw this reaction F/X I love that movie

Imagination had the most campy videos but the songs were definitely bops.

I agree. They could’ve easily been as big as guys like MJ, Prince or Rick James.
Destiny’s Child remade this song on their first album ft. Pras.
If you like this one, they have another great success "Body Talk", try that, also 🔥
🧡
Just chill song or a swing out song. Just something to cuddle to on a cool Saturday morning or a evening
Cool
The 80's had the best music
Not enough people react to this band. They have amazing songs.
Love your reaction you should hear FROM THEM IN THE HEAT OF NIGHT
