  • A little video going over my choice in handcuffs (hand restraints) and a little about the Peerless company. Peerless has been around for over 100 years, and are some of the premier manufacturer's of restraints commonly used in Law Enforcement around the world. I thought I would just go over what cuffs I use and my impression of them.
    The Peerless Model 801 provides additional restraint by more effectively restricting hand and arm movements. The Model 801 features all steel construction, spun rivets, tumbled edges and smooth single strand action. The Model 801 has the ability to fold flat for compact storage. It has a 10% larger inside perimeter then the Model 700. The Model 801 has been approved by the National Institute of Justice. Lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects and two keys supplied. Made in USA.

      Smith and Wesson make some great quality cuffs as well. I've had them in the past.

    Have you ever used zip ties for hand cuffs?

    • @JTFActual
      @JTFActual  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not plain zip ties, using the right technique they are easy to break out of. For a while we did use flex cuffs, which were specifically made for use as a restraint. Now if you wanted to have multi-use zip ties for an emergency or whatever, I recommend these T&B heavy duty ones. These are used in industrial applications and can support a lot of weight and force, amzn.to/37VfaPc

    Never use asp they can be accessible from both sides allowing the suspects to open easily if they have a key
