😎Cool stuff!
It looks so cool
You get a excellence 🏆
Can you do a video of how to put the powerful motor in the truck I bought one of these and it barley will go in grass
thank you
Ohh wow I'm super excited I ordered those and others on a whim. Can't wait!!! I'm halfway through video rn, nice thanks
Interesting test!
I don't think it's so much that the faster motor lacks torque, more that the power delivery isn't as smooth and it has a much larger RPM range. I've noticed the same thing with full size crawlers, the higher turn motors are much easier to control at low speeds because they have a smaller RPM range spread across the same resolution of the throttle trigger. The faster motors seem to still have good torque but the power delivery is more abrupt and you have 2-3x the RPM range but still the same throttle resolution. You get more of an all or nothing effect with the faster motors.
I agree, you can clearly see the wheel speed and control of the faster 180 is having an effect on the climb, and I think thats why I said it would be good for loose dirt/mud etc... as the wheel speed can help it keep momentum. When you have a surface like in the video, it's more about control and torque, as soon as the wheels slip and it jumps around you loose that momentum.
Cool
Ohh yea I have two 9145's and C24's and one for each model was faster by about 30%. Same battery. Can't wait to see how much it works in 9145
I saw some guy convert the bed on this to a tipper truck to use with a HuiNa excavator (I'll try and find a link). I wish you'd do a version of this conversion Tomley!
Q60 looks to be lower geared than WPL B-1, is a good thing for these really. so far what I like best in my C-24 is WPL's dual 6v N30 geared motors and casing, not fast but it's strong. gives pretty long run time from two 14500 (AA size) 3.7v 1100mah lithium ion cells (2S), in a AA battery clip, is convenient and less weight. did have to make side plates from aluminum flashing (tin can would work) to drop the motor casing down about 1/2", so the drive shafts and U-joints aren't overly kinked. with the stock toy receiver/ESC board, that 20-30k rpm 180 motor would likely burn up the board's ESC section real quick. the B-1 here uses that, it got the 3D printed casing for dual geared N20 motors (fresh pair 6v 400 rpm) crawls pretty fairly. just didn't like that printed motor casing in the C-24, not enough muscle but a better fit in the B-1, which also got a set of their soft tires.
Yes, my Dual N30 motor C14 is a good climber. Although I agree the casing needs lowering to stop the binding of the UJ's. I lowered the suspension a touch....although still not perfect.
Just changing the motor without upgrading the eletrinic would have dome effect? My goal is to have a little more torque to climb
I have the jjrc q65 and it’s all stock. Can I use just the wpl 180 motor only with all my original electronics? Basically swap the motors and maybe go with a 6v nihm battery???
You should be able to swap them straight over. Just check the motor pinions first.
The motor from Aliexpress is only a 3.7v hence being fast with no torque also would burn out pretty quick
Ask me if you would like to try a custom 130 motor
Did you manage to swap the metal pinion gear over onto the other motor?
If so how did you do it?
Heat it up until it is red hot (I use a small blow torch) and then carefully prise it off and fit to the new motor while still hot 👍
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried the motors the Nerf community uses. Nerf blasters use flywheels and have to spin them directly and deal with large torque and high RPM. Virtually EVERY motor out there for Nerf modding is 30,000rpm or higher with torque numbers as high as they will go. As such their stall current can be up to 20 amps (the high spec 180s usually are 15-20 amps stall current) but I doubt you'd be able to get one of them to bog down or quit on you in one of these trucks. That said, I would likely try for a dual motor setup (not those tiny bastards though) with a slow, high torque 180 and a high RPM 130. Use the 180 to go places normally (slowness) and kick that 130 in as a booster when you want to get up and go. Obviously stock electronics are out and you'd need a stupid rated ESC to run this... nerf modders dont have ESC. We have mosfet or just a switch. All or nothing :P
I have a couple of 'Worker' motors that I keep meaning to try which are for Nerfs. I've also seen a couple of videos with them fitted to these. I guess it's trying to find the right mix of speed and torque. A twin 180 set up would work really well. I have a 3d printed twin 180+Reduction mount for these, but have seen people adapt there own. 👍
My custom 130 motor could climb and has speed i have video it hits 30 k rpm amd has torque less weight more climing
VERY GOOD TRUCK , BRASIL OK.
Субтитры такие: смех*
This is no car for speed
What an interesting and informative video - thanks for taking the trouble to do all those motor swaps : )
Cheers dude.
@@TomleyRC will the b36 motor work with the q61?
