    Hi, great video. Excellent tool. I verified the site today and tried to do some tests alone. I saw that 'separate tracks' option is not available anymore. There is a 'stereo split' mode in its place. For the description, in this mode we have 2 recorded channels: host and guests. Its good, of course, but a little limitation comparing with the 'separate' mode.

    • @TheThreeTechs

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on how you’re delivering your webinars... WebEx, Zoom, and similar systems have their own preset video and audio codecs and bitrates. There are other tools like Wirecast, Vmix, ecamm live, and mimoLive that provide high bandwidth video and audio remote calling that can be recorded remotely and also streamed to any service.

    • @YannickRoy76

      The Three Techs Ok then what would you suggest I use as a tool in my webinar scenario where I have 6 workshops of one hour all at the same time (25-50 participants) done 4x in a day.... and interlaced in between workshops is a one hour main event where everyone (400-500 participants) is listening at the same time... done 4x in a day!

    can you have multiple guests on cleanfeed in the free option? and be able to download the files to edit on another platform like audacity?

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. There’s no limit to the number of guests in the free version. The limit is that you don’t have multitrack recording in the free version. The best you can do to isolate is have a stereo split file with host on left side and everyone else on the right channel.

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cleanfeed is not a double-ended Recording solution. It records everything on the host side, so there’s no need to download from your guests. If you want separate tracks, just be sure to choose the separate tracks option in Cleanfeed recording or get the Pro service, which includes multitrack recording-useful if you want to ISO record three or more people because the free version only separates up to two people before it combines guests onto the second channel.

    You guys are great - thanks a bunch for taking the time to make this. I am using Cleanfeed now because of your intro to the service a while back. I have a few questions. I am using the RCP with Cleanfeed, and I will upgrade to the Pro account today. But I wanted to ask: 1) Will hitting the record button on the RCP during a cleanfeed multitrack session cause any conflict with the processing while recording with Cleanfeed? 2) I still don't quite understand the difference between SEPARATE TRACK and MULTITRACK recording option on Cleanfeed. Lastly, 3) Rode has several PDF guides with instructing a user on how to set up multitrack recording with the RCP. Is that necessary if using Cleanfeed and if I plan to put all the separate tracks in Audition for post production? Thanks in advance guys and keep up the great work!

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, 1) No, recording on RCP won’t affect Cleanfeed. 2) We didn’t explain this well in the video... separate tracks puts the local host on one channel and ALL other remote guests mixed together on the other channel (like a stereo split). If you only have two people-a host and a guest-then separate tracks or stereo split will be fine and put each person on their own track. If you have three or more people, then you need multitrack, which will put every participant on their own independent track (file). 3) Unless you’re only recording with one host and one guest, the RCP multitrack function won’t separate all the Cleanfeed participants into separate tracks. Remote Cleanfeed guests’ audio all comes mixed together on the stereo USB input in the RCP. If you’re using multitrack in Cleanfeed, you don’t really need to record multitrack on the RCP. You might just record on RCP as a backup in case your Chrome browser totally crashes during your session and you lose its audio.

      Don, we’ve seen a/v drift of around 6-8 frames over an hour. So unfortunately we don’t have a good answer here unless you’re using timecode to lock all devices together in perfect sync. The good news is that the latest version of Zoom now supports high quality audio, so maybe you can just record everything within Zoom? We probably wouldn’t use Zoom and Cleanfeed together for a live event, as the setup is doubly complicated for each participant. If you want to use Zoom for video recording and Cleanfeed for audio recording, you could make it work. Just mute Zoom mics and speakers and use Cleanfeed for the audio. You could record video in Zoom and later sync up the Cleanfeed audio in a video editor.

      Couple ideas: 1. Use a hardwired network connection-not Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi adds a lot of latency just in the encoding, wireless transmission, and decoding. Use hardwired for everyone. 2. Check your sound card sample frequency and drop it to 44.1 or 48kHz instead of 96kHz or even 192kHz if your sound card supports high sample frequencies. The higher sample frequencies require your computer to use a larger buffer size in order to avoid dropouts when processing the sound because there’s more data per second to process.

    What format would it use if you had three people and you tried to download it? Would it be three WAV files?

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ethan Hardy If you use the multitrack feature currently in beta, you would download three separate WAV files that are all in sync if you line up the beginning of each file in your DAW.

    My Zoom L-8 is bringing in the audio from the guest onto my feed and causing major loop and that feedback is terrible. I have to actually mute the non speaking person otherwise the feedback loop is terrible

    So has this become a part of your normal workflow? #Cleanfeed #IsItBetterThan #DoubleEnder #PodcastGuest

    • @TheThreeTechs

      RepublicAllegiance yes, we have been using Cleanfeed for all of our remote shows.
      There are other free tools with some limits like Zoom.us that allow you to record each participant. Cleanfeed can do isolated participant recording (multitrack) in their Pro paid version.

    Just wondering guys, I know you can record inside of Cleanfeed itself but can you route it to a DAW like say Reaper, if so,how?

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To record remote audio using a DAW on the same computer that’s running the Cleanfeed, you would need to use some audio routing software like Loopback on macOS. Otherwise, you could use two computers and route the stereo output of Cleanfeed computer to the other DAW computer.

      @@TheThreeTechs Sorry I'am a bit green here, firstly I using Windows, you also mentioned a second computer, how would that work exactly. Secondly would something like Voicemeter Potato be the equivalent to Loopback and enable me to record Cleenfeed to the DAW (Reaper)?

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Poalo Testa we’re not familiar with Potato, but maybe others here can offer some help? The idea is to route the output of Chrome (Cleanfeed) into another app on your PC (your DAW). Please also remember that Cleanfeed can record multitrack in the browser, so you don’t need your DAW to record.

    Looks like multitrack is only available with a paid account. Free only gives you a stereo split - so that's 2 speakers max for separate tracks. A shame.

    • @TheThreeTechs
      @TheThreeTechs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. While in beta, multitrack was available to free accounts. Multitrack is now only available as a paid feature.
