Ok , let's be raw af I'm 15 , I live in India and what would you say to a boy who is ambitious but their parents won't let them do the basic self improvement habits like exercise, eating clean, sleep , etc . I can't move out bc this is India, not a developed country yet Dad says he does not let me do these habits , he thinks it's a waste of time because I'm in class 10, he prefers me to stay inside all day studying I want to do these to get good grades , I'm not special , I'm like most boys who can't sit all day , I cannot sacrifice my health doing what I hate My environment is holding me back , Clearly 😭
that was me last year, I did home workouts for exercise till my boards were over, I tried my best to eat clean w what I could, I improved my sleep schedule to 7-8 hours of sleep on most days, 9 on some. Once boards were over I started doing much better in terms of exercise and diet, I just need to fix my sleep schedule once again now, tutors with subjects I dont even need (I'm moving to USA soon) are holding me back mostly now, but I do what I can in this time. My suggestion is to do whatever you can to improve rn, even if its little it'll eventually add up.
But my dad does not let me take care of my health , school isn't stopping me from doing that , I'm not being productive by obeying dad's preference, being sleep deprived , low testosterone and mental health problems , so why not go to the other side of the spectrum , I could easily pass in Distinction , I could study 3 hrs on weekdays , 6 hrs on weekends , play sports once and run 2 to 3 times a week , be efficient in my studying , sleep 6 to 7 hrs a night If I follow these and be consistent , I could easily pass in Distinction , even if not , it's better than my dad's preferred routine . But these should have been applied from the start of the year , our boards is not even in two months , wtf , can't discuss it with dad ( Asian parents's "good for us" according to them , have to listen to them no matter what )
