It’s like those guys who tried to live in Thailand for the HJs. Eventually the daily handjob gets boring. Same with the museums, when I visited Europe it seems like the locals were whatever about them but I was excited to pay the £30 for the Louvre.

Its a tiny country with a population of 10 million, it doesn't have to be some advanced tech hub...

What will happen if you improve your freedom of choice? In a few years it will be the same as Belgium. And which one is better?
In my point of view, culture is more valuable than material means.

Not going back there! I hear Portuguese friends saying that I should support my country but I have no debt towards those that kicked me out.

If you can escape, you shouldn't drown because the ship's sinking.

@@trichomaxxx This is how I think of nationality in general. Why should I claim any place that chased me out?

housing prices vs average salaries. dont make sense in Portugal . not saying housing outside Lisbon or Porto are extreme high but salaries are just so low and litte of job opportunities
not suprised they come to Northern Europe or Germany for Jobs.
Im from Northern Europe and everything is expensive here but when i was in Portugal i saw prices of most things, housing, and put their salaries into comparison. i dont understand how they can make it each month .
Also taxes in Portugal are too high ...

This country is so heavily taxed, it's impossible to grow as a business and be able to hire people / pay competitive salaries. The entire tax system is deficient and cripples our economy, and the mentality of the population can't see how they're shooting themselves in the foot with the way the choose to tax. Even the youth income tax is another footgun. No political party have any solution for the problems, even the liberals are too shortsighted when it comes to taxes.
There's no hope for this country, that's why I'm also moving. Maybe I'll return to enjoy the good weather in my retirement.

No country in Africa to exploit, no free labor from human 'resources', that's how you got ahead and that is much of Europe. Buckle up, it is going to be a bumpy ride.
If I were you, I would move to one of your former colonial outposts where people are sympathetic to you. Maybe go to Brazil or heck, go to Luanda, Angola. I never seen an Angolan have a negative view of Portuguese and start something there.
