    In the beginning I thought it was the 60 starting up👍 Better to have it bailed up then get wet out in the field. 👍 I look for 60 next time 👏

    I stick electric fence stakes in them and that with tell you what's going on inside them. Moisture tester is a great tool. Just don't leave on the baler tire and drive away. Lol yep got a new one for this year. turd happens.

      @larsonvalleyfarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +69druth good idea! I can use a round post and my pyrometer to test how warm they are! Doesn't help me with moisture, but if they are warm we know they aren't dry! Lol

      I have seen them you can't hold on to them. Not good,but it happens. Getting dusty up here. hoping for some rain before I cut I ahead of all you guys I get first second and third all on the same pass. Lol

      69druth don't leave your hay tester on the tractor dash with the door open either. Especially if you stop and have a few beers with your cousin that when you leave you look at it and think that won't ride there and all of a sudden you see it start to fall and your buzzed enough that you just watch it fall out the door and drive over it. Now that was some expensive beer.

    My dad had a 6400 for awhile, and we also have a NH648 baler. Loved the tractor, but my dad traded it in for some Trashy Furgacins. Loved the baler, but hated that sound of the bale being rhapped: like nails on a chalkboard. When I take over the farm, the first thing I'm gonna do is trade our Masseys back in for a 6400 and maybe a 7800 for the bigger stuff.

    Will you wrap those bales in plastic or was it dry enough? We call it 2nd cut but like you said it depends where you live.

    • @larsonvalleyfarm
      @larsonvalleyfarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AndersonCattleCo. No plastic, it should be dry enough

    Brad if they were heating in the bale what would you do about it

    • @larsonvalleyfarm
      @larsonvalleyfarm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Gold Fire I would pull the cows off pasture and feed up the warm bales. That would give the pasture a rest

    What kind of ground travel can the 6400 pull the baler?...As you might know by now we baled 80 acres Friday...... started at 11 and finished at midnight....420 bales....

      @fordman2698 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@larsonvalleyfarm Ikr my 6400 was pretty bouncey in the field with that baler. Not as much as the Massey 2635 my dad traded it in for, though. Those 6400s are pretty good tractors though. Also have a 2440 and 4040 left over from when my grandpa ran the farm.
