I only drive for about 5 or 10 minutes per week and notice that my voltage drops in between drives. I have been thinking about doing this instead of getting a solar panel that connects to the battery to keep it topped up. My van still starts eazy but voltage is down to 10.6 by the time i start it after not driving it for a week will this damage the battery? Is this normal?

Is it a kill switch, can you still turn the car on if the switch is on off position
I have never tried.
Not a kill switch, car will still operate normally just without a few options.

No you should be good this is good when you go in a long vacation so your battery won't drain out

Not to sure about your issue but definitely get it check something is wrong... something is staying on draining your batter
