What to say, a beautiful film ruined at the end because Davies et al could not remain true to the memory of Jane Austen. They had a wonderful opportunity but totally messed up . It was clear from the beginning that Charlotte and Sidney were meant to be together. If they had wanted their own story line, they should not have used Austen’s unfinished novel, and used their own narrative from beginning to end or seasons 1to 10, whatever. For Austen devotees, they ruined her last book. I could have done a better job myself.
