Tom and Adam were just having fun with bars and flow on this one ( their past life sorta might not want to try them) 🤣 People are saying all they do is political songs and can't rap. Dax was sent many songs by Tom and he pick this one because he had something he wanted to get off his chest. That was the message
I think it's much deeper than a first listen might indicate. Tom's verse shouts out MILLIONS of disenfranchised young white guys in this country. Tom doesn't live that way (he's rich duh) but he comes from a backwoods/trailer park/normal rural perspective in the song. He names specific things that if you ain't from here you don't know about. "Got ammo stashed at my cousin's and cash in attics and cupboards..." Those lines probably sound silly to you but that's some shit we literally do. We don't trust the government. We hide our money all old school like your Grandpa that doesn't trust banks (he's right you know) and of course we cling to our guns and literally stash ammo for when the shit hits the fan. You may not see the world through that lens but lots of us do so we really feel that verse because he's talking PROUDLY about US and everybody else just shits on us.
Then Adam comes in and drops the country boy shit and just raps like an OG who is hating the stupid world he sees around him from his only slightly "old school" view. He's the bridge to Dax who is setup to come in and bring the message and kinda steal the show. The technicality of rapping in Tom's verse just isn't appreciated by enough people because they don't understand rapping for real and the talent is lost on them. For shame. But anyway I like your videos but give it another listen and put yourself in a poor, non urban living white dude's shoes who is told every 4.5 seconds that he's the cause of everyone's problems. Yeah, we just might be hanging out a truck yelling IDGAF. People go crazy when you push them too much. There's a larger statement being made. JMHO.

English is my first language, and I still struggled a lot more with the 1st 2 verses.
This song is epic and everyone needs to hear its message.
This is the best song/video around but, it has something no other artist or group of artists can say: “The music industry will not get even $0.01 from this song or these artists.

Great reaction Francesca! You're right, Dax had the best bars in this song. Adam did make a strong point in his verse about how men used to handle shit differently than the younger generation. It's sad to see the emasculation of this modern generation of men.
