Yes it's a red flag but my mother had to have me two months early and my brother 6 weeks early due to toxemia and had to have her tubes tied. I have two sons and my now recent ex wife had an ectopic pregnancy which means it's trapped in the tubes. If you don't remove the baby the mom and baby will pass. The baby has zero chance of survival in that situation. Not defending anyone just saying that I can see why she said it but should've elaborated and if I hired a babysitter/nanny I'd run a background check and check if everything even references. Ain't no one hurting my two sons

If my community offered people with needs to help with projects and so on, I'd have them over every week. I'd love helping someone while their help my family. But I've never heard of anything like this being offered. It would really help the people with the special needs get to experience life and make new friends and family. But not all people are nice and people would take advantage so I can see why it wouldn't work, which is sad. Some humans can be so awful and ruin everything for us who really want to help.

I have 2 babies under 2, and a house to run ,meals to prep, clothes to wash, appointments to go and I have no family close enough to help. I love being home with my babies. But it is such hard work sometimes. 24/7 looking out for them. Hey, if we could afford I'd love a nanny for a few hours a week so I could go be me. Or just do housework with headphones in and no one asking for me lol.

I have 2 babies under 2, and a house to run ,meals to prep, clothes to wash, appointments to go and I have no family close enough to help. I love being home with my babies. But it is such hard work sometimes. 24/7 looking out for them. Hey, if we could afford I'd love a nanny for a few hours a week so I could go be me. Or just do housework with headphones in and no one asking for me lol.
I was a full housewife. And I had a maid to help me at home

Huh... I recall watching this as a kid, but I must have never seen the very beginning. Well, it makes more sense now. All this time I just thought the nanny was one of those women who lost their baby and decided to take another woman's, but without the anonymous kidnapping part. Wow.
I always thought this movie got a "Lifetime" vibe to it.
