Kia EV6 Camp Mode? Can you camp in a Kia EV6

- The Kia EV6 might not have an official camp mode like Tesla, but it does have a Utility mode that acts like it. So I tested it to see if it would keep the HVAC system going and how well I could sleep in it. After about 7 hours, it only uses around 7% to keep the vehicle warm.

You know that you could also turn off the Nav/media screen to get it darker 👍
Oh, also how was the condensation inside after a night of sleeping? Usually the windows are drenched wet, curious if that happened with the heat on. Were you able to have airflow or fans on? Love that you are testing and posting this for everyone!!!
No condensation on the windows at all, and that's with myself and my dog sleeping in it. Only fan I had running was the one for the heater itself. Now if you get a little USB powered fan you'd be able to run it and maybe spread the heat around a little more. I plan on doing a video of summer camping also on a road trip I will be taking.
@@BogDeepTV thanks for the update! Great to hear there was no condensation. Am i correct in understanding you can't run the car fans for air circulation in utility mode?
In utility mode the full HVAC system operates just as normal. So you can run the fan for air circulation.

That particular night I only used a window shade on the windshield. However on a more recent trip I used black sheets on the side windows. It really depends on how much light there is where you are camping. If there isn’t much the stock tint keeps it fairly dark.

I was actually thinking of doing such a video. So I will try and do one on it here shortly.
So how was the space in the back? I'm 6'1", thinking of camping in this, setting the temperature to about 50 degrees in winter. Thoughts on how it would work out?
I'm 5'10 and fit fine my feet hung over a little bit since I had my head at the trunk door that night. Being a bit taller you might have to lay at an angle. Also I highly suggest getting some type of air mattress or pad to sleep on.
