Great video, sir, this LAN cable and electric wires passing through the same house wiring pipe, can interference or randomly false data come? or not a problem ? If it's not a problem, could you please explain why there is no interference between electric wires and data wires.
One things I don’t fully understand - if you already have 8 wires from the ethernet cable, why not use 5 of its wires detect the digital input presses from the traditional switch directly on the A8S board for example?
HAv2 use for long distance. such as 2KM is ok. RS485 support multi boards connect with one BUS wire. if you have many switch panel, use HAv2 will save many cable.
This is great! RS485 is very robust & reliable. Do you have a basic ESP32 RS485 receiver board that just passes entity states to HA, like the one you're using in the video but without the relay outputs and switches. This can be used to control existing wireless devices connected to HA. Thanks
we not used ESP32 made the RS485 small board, because the ESP32 size is bigger, we made the small pcb with 4 PCB layer, just want size smallest. if you think size big is ok, we have many ESP32 board with RS485 interface, such as KC868-AM: www.kincony.com/esp32-io-expansion-board.html
@@KinCony I'm referring to the receiver board that the RS485 tiny boards terminate to. So I can use multiple tiny boards in the house with one receiver picking up all the entities and passing on to HA

Great video sir, can you make next video about "when the binary sensor on switch will be on and if binary sensor off the switch output will off.....restore the state after the power failure" I hope you sir, you will make this video for me.....
which problem with you? a: when power on, DI always ON, but relay can't ON? b:if relay is ON, now power failure, then power on again, relay can't auto ON?
@@KinCony. absolutely sir, option B. "if the switch is on when power failure happens and then power on device in this case switch will be already on but relay can't auto on........ Thanks for understanding my question
@@KinCony i cant find the electrical specs on this module, what drive current are the outputs capable? enough to drive a mechanical relay/contactor or just a mosfet based switch or an ssr?
i think this is best concept because reduced some switch wires to controller and easy to connect switch and digital sensors
yes, use any dry contact sensor for long distance.
@@KinCony using CAT6 cable because that
cable has very low resistant , am i right
CAT6 is better than CAT5 cable, but CAT5 is enough for KC868-HA board.@@er_samadhan_babar_ziddi3561

There will be no problem, RS485 bus is already a mature solution, and it is also applied in the industrial field.
Ok sir, thank you@@KinCony
@@KinCony Will this work with other solutions of yours equipped with RS485 bus?
sure, all our relay board support KC868-HA board.@@Floppy379

Very nice, but it would be better if it had a cover because we use 7*7 cm metal boxes
💯
You can use a heat shrink tube to wrap it and then use a hair dryer

you want a very small pcb (ESP32+RS485 interface)? without ethernet, right?@@thierry3610
@@KinCony Basically your A8S v2 esp32 board without the I/O, so it's just an interface between the tiny RS485 board and HA
