The bracelet with multiple different stones looks more like a Mother's Bracelet similar to a mother's ring which is made up of all the children's birth stones. Sweetheart jewelry is usually related to family members of soldiers in the army, military, navy etc. The expansion band on the bracelet is pretty common in sweetheart jewelry,so I can see the confusion,but then again I didn't get a good look at it. So I'm sure you're right.
That outer part of the mexican opal is called the matrix. I found one of those cabs and they are so interesting looking I kept it in my collection. They do seem like they would be resin or something not natural or earthly.

Too bad that much of the newer sterling found at second hand and consignment shops isn't silver at all. It's also too bad that many of us will be no wiser after straining to see what it is you're trying to show us.

I’m curious. I’ve been selling for 4 yrs. You have 3 stores. Why so many?
