Your sequencing on 31:46 could have been Rally Troops 1st with Liaison, Shifting to get Spice 2nd and send 2 guys in, then Imperial Basin to get 3rd guy into conflict. Of course there's a chance someone goes to Haga Basin first but with this sequence, you don't have to commit the 1 guy into conflict before knowing you've secured the required troops. There is the downside of not securing 2 Spice with this line for Shifting so your line was probably safer.
@@phoenicksgaming Actually the more I think about it, the Rally line is a lot better. If someone took Haga, then you could still get HC with using Dune to get 3 Solari then HC with Shifting then use the intrigue for 2 Spice to pay for Shifting. Then you would have been set up to fight for the 2 VP conflict on the following turn since you would have 5 troops in garrison and a +3 intrigue. Then the same draw would have put 3 troops from Arrakeen and 4 from Hardy that puts you at 17 strength and you would've still been able to afford SMF. If the opponent somehow gets more strength on the last conflict, then Staged Incident is the back-up VP.
You are very humble, I'm desperately trying to beat the AI on medium difficulty but so far after 10 games or so, I succeeded only once. Something is not clicking for me...
Try a few of these tips and let me know how it goes: 1. Prioritize money early. Swordmaster and high council are both very good 2. Go very hard on conflicts or just throw a guy down on opportunities to get an easy 3rd place. Don't half ass it. 3. Every faction move is worth roughly half a point, which is quite a lot. Move up the factions! 4. Usually my points break down is 4 from level 2 on factions, 1 from an alliance, 2 from spice must flow, and two from conflicts. There's wiggle room of course but try to work towards that
@@phoenicksgaming Thanks for these tips, I just won 5 games in a row! Hard to pinpoint exactly what I changed but basically I'm buying way fewer cards, only focusing on the good ones, racing to the top of faction alliances as much as I can, and a lot more conflicts for sure! Also, I'm not always buying the +2 influence directly when there are no good cards up for grabs instead prioritizing getting the extra worker when it feels relevant. One last thing, when I see that my deck has a lot of faction access I'm buying the mentat to try and use them all. It's just tiny things here and there but when you put them together it really works out well!

Yeah I thought that sequence was a tough call and I'm glad to hear you think the other line was probably worth the gamble. Thanks!

@@AlexanderSudibjo oh, very nice - I like the fact that this line has a good backup plan A LOT. Good call! Thanks for the feedback

Why does teh game start you at 1 victory point? ty
That’s what happens when you have 4 players, I believe it is to keep the game at a manageable length
