Spent almost all my time just getting the molding back in place. Broke a couple plastic clips in the process. I bet a pro could do what I did in 1/4 the time.
The trunk on my Model S closes and latches but it doesn't pull down the last 1/2 inch to seal the trunk. When I close the trunk by hand, the trunk will fully close but make the sound that it normally does when it's pulling the trunk in when it's not. It sounds as though there's too much slack on the cable, but I haven't found any way to adjust this. Would you have any idea what this could be?

what is the purpose of a cinching motor latch
It pulls the hatch shut tight for the last 1/2" to 3/4" of travel. The motorized struts are responsible for most of the travel range.
