I LOVE the Austrian dialect. I think it is so cool. It just sounds so nice to my ears. The A and O and just the little shortcuts. I can’t explain it but it just sounds like so much fun.
Because we get great support during lockdowns and the big majority of people in Austria are supporting the measures. Are we desperate for the pandemic to end? Yes, for sure, everyone is. But we also are very solidary.

Ich war seit dem Anfang der Pandemie mehr als ein Jahr lang dort in Wien als Austauschstudentin und es war trotz der schlechte Covid-Situation eine wunderschöne Zeit. Während meiner Aufenthalt habe ich fast jeden Tag den Easy German Podcast gehört und eure Videos gesehen, um meinem Deutsch zu verbessern - na klar, besonders die Episoden mit Mathias!! Das ganze Easy German Team hat mich wirklich Gesellschaft geleistet, jedes Mal ich einkaufen oder einfach spazieren gehen würde! Es tut mir wirklich leid, dass Österreich (und auch Deutschland) jetzt sich in eine noch schlechtere Situation noch mal befindet, und hoffe, dass es euch bald wieder gut geht. Ich bin Koreanerin. Bei uns in Korea gibt es gott sei Dank keinen Lockdown, aber zur Zeit immer mehr Coronapatientinen. Ich bin schon 2-fach Corona geimpft. Zu Hause lese ich sehr viel und oft mache ich eine kleine Runde Spaziergang. Jeden Tag gehe ich zur Arbeit und zur Messe. Alles wie immer mache ich so.

Ja, das Oesterreichishes Dialekt hoere ich sehr gern: ich habe meine Sommerverien in St. Poelten mit meine Grosseltern verbracht in 1967-1971 und wir besuchten Wien ab und zu. Als ich wieder nach Nurnberg zuhause ging, mit meine Mutter zu wohnen, ihre Mutter, meine andere Grossmutter, sagte: 'Wir sprechen nicht so hier!' Leider. Als ich zwoelf Jahre alt wurde, zog ich nach USA um mit meinen Vater und Stiefmutter zu wohnen, und dann war alles Deutsch weg. Ich bin froh dass du diese videos machst! Keep up the good work! I'm a student in Wien and I've lived here for about 3 months now, but I still don't know much Deutsch since my grad program is in English. I learned some new things from your video about the vaccine trams and busses! I've seen them around, but didn't know what they were since I can't read much. I spent almost a month this September/October there at Donau Insel. It's so cool seeing the end shot of a place I've spent a lot of time at. Would have been crazy to run into you guys. Sadly back in America job searching now. Oida. Perhaps one day. Arebeitslos durch den Tog! Also you should do a video showing the differences between Salzburger and traditional Wien dialects. It seems like Wien is becoming more like Hoch Deutsch. Would be cool to hear some old school Vienna dialects.

Das war ein wunderwares Video. Wien ist eine schone Stadt. Danke schon! Ich have lockdown benutzt um Sprachen zu learnen. I have been amazed by how much material there is for free in the internet. Ich versuche mein Deutsch zu verbessern aber auch mein Franzosisch. Mann konnte auch Kunst lernen. I once had a book to teach oneself how to do watercolors step by step. Having more time is a blessing. There are so many things that one can teach oneself. I got in contact with friends I had not seen in a long long time. It is a good time for scrapbooking, quilting, etc. Going out for a coffee, a good idea to feel less isolated. I live the 3 last years in Mexico. There were no lockdowns there since so much of the country survives thanks to the informal economy. Now I am in the US, close to Washington DC. I wish people here were more serious about getting vaccinated.

I have always liked easy German and recently became a Patron, but I'm now really disappointed when I found out that Easy German team supports vaccine mandate: (( Mathias was somewhat delicate and did not tell that he supports mandates directly but earlier this week Cari and Manuel have talked about regulations for unvaccinated and they even told the government got it too late to mandate Vaccines! Such a painful experience, hearing my loved channel supporting the break of basic human rights and being so unmerciful towards fellow citizens😭 I feel sorry for everyone in Austria and probably in many other countries, where the vaccination will be mandatory. Seek for compassion and common sense in yourself, this is how Fascism is being reborn!
Hello Mariam, we are humans with opinions, and it is ok to have different opinions. FYI: The majority of Austrians is pro vaccination mandate, and it's decided by a democratically elected government, to save lives. But also remember, this channel is about learning German. :)

But Europe is turning down it's basic rules: routing for minorities and respecting their opinion, too. So, if one day we will wake up in the country where most of the people will be against vaccination, it will be ok for you to lock vaccinated people down in their homes, because it will be "democratically made desicion?" During fascist times most of the people (some of fear some for wanting wealth) were supporting holocaust, so can it be considered democratic? I think your answer will be no. I just shared my opinion that I'm very disappointed in discovering that whole channel supports mandates, and while channel is used for learning purpose it is mainly supported by people because it is providing entertaining videos, so I guess in that regard it is also important for team to know what opinion do viewers have: )

So cool, meine neue Wahlheimat hier bei euch im Beitrag zu sehen. Ihr habt das sehr anschaulich, kurzweilig und informativ dargestellt. Und ich bin happy, dass der Lockdown für Geimpfte heute vorbei ist und ich wieder in meinem Sportverein trainieren kann. Yippieh!!! Ich selbst finde Wien ist eine absolute Vorzeigestadt, was das Testen angeht. So unkompliziert, schnell und logistisch meisterhaft durchdacht. Da darf sich Wien echt auf die Schulter klopfen. Gehe 3x/ Woche und habe in weniger als 24h mein Ergebnis per sms. Mein Bruder war als „Kontaktperson 1“ vor 3d in Norddeutschland zum Testen und wartet immer noch auf sein Ergebnis. Da sag ich nur: OIDA!!!!!

I learned some new things from your video about the vaccine trams and busses! I've seen them around, but didn't know what they were since I can't read much. Also you should do a video showing the differences between Salzburger and traditional Wien dialects. It seems like Wien is becoming more like Hoch Deutsch. Would be cool to hear some old school Vienna dialects.

Hallo, es gibt keinen Impfzwang, sondern eine Impfpflicht (So wie es eine Gurtpflicht gibt und keinen Gurtzwang). Was ich, oder die Leute, von dieser Maßnahme halte, ist nicht Teil dieses Videos. Es ging darum zu zeigen, was die Regeln sind und was die Leute im Lockdown machen. Alles Gute. :)

Das war ein wunderwares Video. Wien ist eine schone Stadt. Danke schon! Ich have lockdown benutzt um Sprachen zu learnen. I have been amazed by how much material there is for free in the internet. Ich versuche mein Deutsch zu verbessern aber auch mein Franzosisch. Mann konnte auch Kunst lernen. I once had a book to teach oneself how to do watercolors step by step. Having more time is a blessing. There are so many things that one can teach oneself. I got in contact with friends I had not seen in a long long time. It is a good time for scrapbooking, quilting, etc. Going out for a coffee, a good idea to feel less isolated. I live the 3 last years in Mexico. There were no lockdowns there since so much of the country survives thanks to the informal economy. Now I am in the US, close to Washington DC. I wish people here were more serious about getting vaccinated.

I have always liked easy German and recently became a Patron, but I'm now really disappointed when I found out that Easy German team supports vaccine mandate: (( Mathias was somewhat delicate and did not tell that he supports mandates directly but earlier this week Cari and Manuel have talked about regulations for unvaccinated and they even told the government got it too late to mandate Vaccines! Such a painful experience, hearing my loved channel supporting the break of basic human rights and being so unmerciful towards fellow citizens😭 I feel sorry for everyone in Austria and probably in many other countries, where the vaccination will be mandatory. Seek for compassion and common sense in yourself, this is how Fascism is being reborn!

Hello Mariam, we are humans with opinions, and it is ok to have different opinions. FYI: The majority of Austrians is pro vaccination mandate, and it's decided by a democratically elected government, to save lives. But also remember, this channel is about learning German. :)

But Europe is turning down it's basic rules: routing for minorities and respecting their opinion, too. So, if one day we will wake up in the country where most of the people will be against vaccination, it will be ok for you to lock vaccinated people down in their homes, because it will be "democratically made desicion?" During fascist times most of the people (some of fear some for wanting wealth) were supporting holocaust, so can it be considered democratic? I think your answer will be no. I just shared my opinion that I'm very disappointed in discovering that whole channel supports mandates, and while channel is used for learning purpose it is mainly supported by people because it is providing entertaining videos, so I guess in that regard it is also important for team to know what opinion do viewers have: )

And all people can go to the streets and say their opinion, even when you are against it. I hope you also did notice that I said you were speaking delicately and not directly supporting mandates in the video but the vibe still got it. I told that I was listening to podcast where I became concerned about team's loyalty to mandates. And then of course in reply, as well. I like your team very much personally otherwise I would not watch videos, that's why I hope you all will change opinion and not support oppressing other individuals. We all should draw line to what extent are we going into "protecting" our health when other people's freedom is on another side. For me that line are special lockdowns of unvaxed. Ich selbst finde Wien ist eine absolute Vorzeigestadt, was das Testen angeht. So unkompliziert, schnell und logistisch meisterhaft durchdacht. Da darf sich Wien echt auf die Schulter klopfen. Gehe 3x/ Woche und habe in weniger als 24h mein Ergebnis per sms. Mein Bruder war als „Kontaktperson 1“ vor 3d in Norddeutschland zum Testen und wartet immer noch auf sein Ergebnis. Da sag ich nur: OIDA!!!!!

There are no force vaccinations in Austria. And if you are comparing a vaccine mandate that will save lives of thousands to genocide, then you have a big problem, sir.
