You have said it all, but the fact still remains, that the situation of Nigeria make many to decide not to come home again, Children born here in abroad will be afraid coming to a country where by in a day time, you hear someone is been kidnapped or killed. You can't close your two eyes at night to sleep unless you lodge in an hotel. A child who come home for a visit, and light just went off, he now find him or herself in darkness. Parents are afraid coming home because no security, talk less of bring children home. Akobe you have said it well, but Nigeria situation doesn't allowed what you sang to come to reality.
But if you had done your job in lecturing your Children about the realities of Home then the expectations can be managed adequately.I do not suscribe to these flimsy excuses about insecurity and the Power situation back home as an excuse for not relocating. what we as Benins often do is to take a few cases here and there to make it seem like the whole place is so unsafe,i mean,people still live in the Town and are all alive.what Akobe has highlighted in this beautiful song is the reality that blights us all abroad.we are all third class citizens here and thst will never change,what we all call better life is changing rapidly in our very eyes.whilst people back home are moving freely and enjoying their freedom,us abroad are locked inside and our freedom severely restricted and these are signs of worst things to come.so,as Akobe rightly advised,we better start planning homeward before NEPA strikes.A word is enough for the wise.
This is the answer. My Britico Children , once they saw torture or blood on Facebook, they start crying. They cant face minimal hardship. There is no light, no security and system works in Nigeria. My children just can't cope in Nigeria.
