The sheer skill of Robert Osborne's presentation as a host from day 1 just serves to demonstrate how Hollywood, even with its dark side dating back to the old days, used to know how to weave entertainment with art and flair. Mr. Osborne was part of that gold. May he rest in peace. A star worth admiring.

Bob was unique because not only was he a great historian, he had close friendships with many of those from old Hollywood. There will never be another like him.

I am 34 now, but it was because of this man that I fell in love with classic movies, Gone with The Win, West Side Story, The Fiddler on the Roof, the list goes on!!! I always tuned in to watch him introduce the movie because he was filled with sooo much awesome movie trivia and background information. And as a movie buff I love it!! I will always miss him and he LOVED the movies!!!! :)

The best era of TCM was when Mr. Osborne was at the helm. Since Robert Osborne's walk with us ended TCM unceremoniously became a premium offering with Ex-Finity tied-to some nebulous sports package. It's a shame.

Robert Osborne is the reason I love classic movies. One night I was bored and I was scrolling through the channels and I saw Robert Osborne and I stopped and he was introducing a movie. He was so excited about it and filled with facts and you could just see the passion and the love he had for the movie he was introducing. So I watched the movie and then I loved it and then he introduced another one and I watched that one and I never stopped watching. Robert Osborne just seems so relaxed like a guy you would just want to sit with and watch the movie with and then talk about it afterwards. He had a love for the people who starred in the movies and made the movies you could see it when he spoke about it. You can see his face light up when he would interview somebody he really liked. I don't watch TCM that much anymore because for one I really don't like Ben M. He just seems like he's going through the motions he doesn't seem like he has a passion for the movies and he seems kind of snobbish. He seems just cold. Horrible replacement for Robert Osborne. The hosts they have now just seem like MTV VJs. There's five of them and they have the one black host just like MTV did. TCM is not the same without Robert. I have bought a lot of old movies on DVD so I really don't have to watch the channel not unless they show something very rare that I can't find on DVD. Mr. Osborne is missed so much. Rest in Peace Mr Osborne and thank you so much for giving me the love of classic movies. Thank you so much for posting this. I am in tears watching it.

Thumbs up if anyone else has ever done this, but I just started downloading/converting these intro/outros from TCM that are here on YT, then I would download the actual movie. Finally, using Movie Maker, I would add the intro/outros into the movies. So, now when I watch the movies on my phone. It feels like watching my own TCM airing of a movie.

Miss Robert and love Ben, but what Turner did to Tiffany Vazquez is disgraceful. She loved introducing classic film and was happy to have been chosen to host. She was fired from her hosting position and it was handed over to some guy who is worse than boring...he doesn't have the heart for great film that Tiffany did. I was looking forward to joining their Back Lot group, but not now! Shame on you TCM! You took a young lady who loved her job and gave it to some foppish character who could really care less.
