    My tire shop bought the ts401 for us years ago and then a newer one this year complete w/Mx sensors worked great for awhile on fords/chevys but Toyota’s I couldn’t figure out. Then they just stopped working entirely. I gave up as the company never showed us how to properly use it and I had to learn how to use it originally myself but I’ve wanted to learn more and really figure it out despite the manual being hard to read. In an attempt to try yet again to learn for myself I came across your videos and seriously thank you so much I haven’t tried it yet but now it makes sense I’m so grateful thank you!!!!

    Very informative. Thanks you....but What if the TPMS sensor is already replaced. Can I still program the new one the same way with it on the rim?

      @FlashPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a lot of variables in your question I will do my best to help. If the sensor is already replaced in the tire, and it is an Autel MX sensor, you will need to deflate the tire to do the programming session, but yes. It can be done. If you are using an OE sensor you would just need to do the relearn. If you are using a VDO sensor, you will need to deflate the tire and do the relearn, then air up the tire again.

      @@FlashPerformance thanks for the info. I got someone to do it. I'm sure how they did it, but the TPMS light disappears when I start my car. Thanks for the help in understanding the procedure

    With the Autel TS401 or TS608 can you program an OEM sensor instead of an MX sensor?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All the TS tools from Autel work with OEM sensors th-cam.com/video/vwMxHx8WoYw/w-d-xo.html

    If the old tpms was dead battery, how can you pull out the numbers from the old one. Can you explain for me. Thanks

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the sensor is dead the only option is to read the numbers directly from the sensor. There is usually a lot of writing on the sensors, one of those is the sensor ID. If you can read it you can enter that into the tool and create a manual senor ID

    Привет,у меня была такая ситуация:Приехал клиент без одного датчика (где-то его сломали и выкинули)Зайдя через Овд,я прочитал,что сломанный датчик уже пытались прописать и в Овд внесен другой код.Как этот код удалить из овд и прописать новый?

      Updates for the autel TS tools that are red are free updates for life. The updated version of the TS401 is the TS408. You can get it from your local parts store

    Hi can you please help i have replaced 4 wheels on my car with 19”. I had 17” before. Can this tool read the values stored on the sensors in the new tyres (19”). As one of the sensor on my 17” was broken during a tyre change and the tyre guy chuck it in the bin without telling me so i have no way of copying the data from that lost sensor. I have the canclip and ddt4all i can program the car ecu according to the read information from the sensors if i am not wrong.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best solution is to use the Autel TS508, the TS508 can read the sensor IDs from the OBDII port and create an Autel MX sensor with the exact same ID. This way the vehicle will already know the sensor ID and the light will go off. This video will help explain. th-cam.com/video/EKBZHZo9w2Q/w-d-xo.html

    What if I don’t have the old sensor and need to program the sensor will the auto create feature work for that?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you would auto create the sensor, then do the relearn process

  • @Mrb00st
    @Mrb00st 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Trying to read an mx sensor with a ts401. I can read it with the "mx sensor mode" in tool kit and get id , but can't trigger it like you did for activation. Scan tool sw 5.59 updated 4/25/20. Any advice? Can't program the new sensor either.

    • @Mrb00st
      @Mrb00st 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      And when I try to auto program the new one (I have an autel tablet, I can just enter the new sensor code) it says "multi-sensor" and doesn't do anything.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry I don't know how to help with this one. First thing I would check is in your settings and make sure your tool is set to the US region. I know sometimes after an update it can change to Euro. Next I would contact Autel support. That way they can walk through the process and make sure we are not missing a step in the process. 855-288-3587

    Is it possible to program any sensor regardless of manufacture with this Autel Scan tool

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sensor can not be blank, There are many different manufacturers of TPMS sensors that require you to use their tool to program the sensor. Autel will not program these blank sensors. Once the sensor is programmed the Autel can relearn them to the vehicle. Here is a video showing the difference in sensor types th-cam.com/video/vwMxHx8WoYw/w-d-xo.html

    can i do this on the vehicle? or do the sensors need to be removed from the wheel/tire to clone them? example, i want to make a duplicate set to leave installed in snow tire set, so it is a simple swap in spring and fall.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perfect scenario for this process. You don't have to remove the sensor to clone them. Read the sensor and program the new one. Then it is an easy tire swap.

    Hey, given this. Can I buy 4 wheels/sensors and program all 4 of my old sensors to my new ones, then put the new ones in with the new wheels and drive away without needing to do a relearn?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, absolutely. After you clone all sensors and replace them in the same location the vehicle will not know the difference.

    can it reprogram a used sensor?

  • @davidjacobs8558

    can you program (or reprogram) sensor that is already installed inside a tire?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but the pressure has to be at 0 psi to do the program/reprogram. If there is pressure in the tire it will not work.

    How do reprogram the sensor 2018 back to 2013 model

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I understand your question. The Autel MX sensor that I am using can be programmed multiple times. If you program it incorrectly you just program it again for the right application. If you don't have an existing sensor you can do an Auto Create and then do the relearn.

    Thanks for your informative video, but the metal-on-metal corrosion statement, is outdated. Now the Quality Autel TPMS sensors have corrosion - free valve stem. And if you are familiar with Marine boat trailers that come into contact with sea water regularly?! they are a great product from CRC, called; Corrosion inhibitor...!! Fantastic stuff, worth the $12.00 a can. I Spray my trailer wheel lugs before every trip. AND my wheel lug nuts and studs are still like Brand New from the box. Take care. Stay well. Don't be cheap, Help out your local Mom & Pops tire Shop. It's not that expensive. We're hurting out here. LOL

    how can I program the new sensor without having the information of old sensor ?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Use the auto create feature. Then do a relearn

  • @TheRussrocks
    @TheRussrocks 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Replacing a TPMS sensor is because it is not sending out a signal. How does it COPY a TPMS sensor frequency when it does not send a signal?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my scenario the sensor was still transmitting , I replaced it because I broke the stem. With the TS401 or TS408 you can also do an Auto Create and relearn, or if you can read the sensor ID from the side of the original sensor you can do a manual input. The TS508 give you more options to program sensor.
