Quick note: Cliffhanger is only the highest elevated coaster in the US, not the world. Every coaster at Six Flags Mexico is higher at around 8,000 feet, and there are a few other misc. ones in South America as well. Glenwood is probably the most prominent though for sure.

@@SwitchbackSylveon but who care about elevation if ur on flat earth it’s not gonna turn a 100 foot drop into a 400 + actual height of another ride. Elevation won’t change ur experience. Kingda Ka being what it is… that’s gonna be a lil diff than a physical structure of something not even close..dude up there takin about 8000 feet thats greatttt … go put a coaster on top of 30k whatever k Mount Everest ur unless ur hovering over the sea level elevation of a cliff of a mountain that feet is invisible just cuz u geographically somewhere else in the country has nothing to do with what a human will experience on the ride.

That final inversion looks like one i would make in Roller Coaster Tycoon combining a half corkscrew followed by a half heartline roll.

Thank you for giving this ride some justice, it was an extremely tight space and they did the best with what they had. This also proves that gerstlauer isn't afraid to take big risks in their projects. Who knows? We could see the worlds first "cliff edge roller coaster" once gerstlauer perfects this kind of construction.

Some of their press info said they still really want to try getting a coaster on the actual edge of the cliffs, but it's extremely cost prohibitive. Hopefully further growth can get them to that point in the future, and I think this is a solid step in that direction.

Taylor. Lmk when you're making you're way out! I've got ya covered if ya need anything! Defiance should be an absolute thrill even being as short as it is. Thrilled to see Colorado get some love after so many years of missed opportunities and broken promises by Elitches/SFEG. But yea...if you guys need a place to stay or rides around the state/city etc. I've got you're back! I'm terminally ill so it would have to be a spectacular day and great circumstances for me to be able to even try to go ride it but I'd sure give it my best if we went! Either way...its a win for Glenwood and Colorado. And even the west/Midwest. Not enough going on until they move Elitches and start making some improvements to the lineup! Anyways...take care! Stay safe and stay healthy!

I'm curious how Gerstlauer is getting the heavy machinery and track up there hahah I agree it's almost more interesting than the coaster. Super interested in that. No way it does 750 riders per hour either. That's 94 train dispatches per hour. I know they double load but still. That's 45. That's like 45 seconds each. Maybe... Maybe... I think a Vekoma or Gerstlauer family coaster would probably have been a better fit for the actual park though. Wonder if that death on drop tower will affect this at all.
