Nate❣️I just watched your entire video. I was angry. I was horrified. I was hanging on the edge of my chair. I cried. I’m heartbroken. And I’m elated you are where you are. You have made great strides with yourself and in learning to accept love again. Jen is fantastic. She adds so much to your life and to your homestead. Your animals are beautiful and healthy. Minion and Az and the kitties are pure unconditional love. I have only been a viewer for probably about a year now, and love each one of your videos. I’m wearing my “Go Places Do Things” t-shirt as I make this text. I’m so proud that you are no longer beating yourself up. You’re a strong man and I know you have much to share with your channel. Takes a lot of courage to re-tell and re-live this traumatizing situation especially when you have been hurt by people that you love and trust. It's hard to let go of people 😪 even when you know it's best. This is the best way to heal. Tell the story. Good, Bad, whatever and feel it. Listening to your story has helped me in dealing with my own personal relationships and my walk with Christ
Been following since you started working with Will...this brought me up to date! I am happy that all the BS did not burn you from working with other...like Will!
I didn't know your story, and I am watching this bits at a time. This is very interesting and personal. It's giving me a lot more insight into the energy you put off as a person. Much respect.
(Replying to myself to finish my comment after finishing watching this...) This was one heck of a story. I'm glad you are in a better situation. That was pure nonsense, and you had to be strong to make it through it all. I would've died a bit inside at the animal treatment and the yard full of dead dismembered ones. That's pure evil. I just have to be honest and say it. They all seemed evil in some way. Again, much respect to you, Nate. You persevered, and life blessed you with genuine, kind people in your life. I've always been scared of that religion, and others like it. They are like their own little mafias. Just my opinion. You see the shows where they disown any children or family who leave to do their own thing...very much like cults. I agreed with all you said and thought you were nicer than I could be about it. I'm so glad your life became free. Many blessings for the future!
I am so happy for you and where you are now after your trials & tribulations. I can't begin to imagine how difficult and stressful the whole separation period was. I wish you peace.
Oh! You poor thing! Bad ppl have a way of sniffing out vulnerable ppl and taking advantage of them. I'm sorry you had such a rough start but everything you went through led you to the person you are now, and that person is pretty great. I am so glad that you have Jen and Minion and your beautiful homestead now. Keep it up!
Bro you’re a real one Nate. God bless you for telling your story homie. You got super introverted energy and it makes sense why. I’m a city kid and I somehow totally relate. Much love from Memphis big doggie!
Watched all the episodes when you originally released them and never tallied up how long the story was...can safely say im happy to have given almost 5 hours of my life to listen to yours. Some of the things you went through resonated so hard with me and reinforced in my mind that removing toxicity from life is a crucial part to finding true happiness no matter how hard it might be to do it.
Oh Lord Minion was sent to you! Wow Nate, this is an authentic and amazing truth telling, I am honored to hear. I'm happy proud and blessed by your life...
I'm not on tiktok. Thanks for sharing here. Never thought I'd sit through 4.5 hours of anything but it was so wonderful to hear your testimony. Thank you for sharing
Nate, you went through hell, but came out the other side. You should go on with what you have accomplished knowing it was your soul that was strong enough to get you through it. Now just keep moving forward, youve worked hard and deserve the best. Stay healthy, happy and safe always. 😊
I honestly loved your story, I made an effort to watch all of them but it'll be nice to hear it all in one video. This series was great and God had so much better planned out for you ❤️ Jen is such a a blessing
I'm a first child/eldest sibling too. It is not always the case, but your parents often learn on you and your younger siblings reap the benefits. Part of it is too your parents are worn out by then too lol. The eldest is seldom allowed the same privileges and is usually subject to much harsher discipline and restrictions. It makes sense when you grow up, but it's hard to understand when you're a child.
Thank you for this! I came in about a year ago and have been curious about your story before then and this long form story is a good way to catch up. Thank you for creating 🎉
Nate my heart goes out to you. Going thru some very similar issues with my son right now and it really hits home. Heartbreaking. Wasn't sure I could make it thru this video... lol... but I did. ❤❤❤
I can see how genuine and honest you are. Karma, life, destiny, divine justice...however we wanna call it...always ends up making justice without us having to move a finger, and I believe you've been blessed, and great things will come your way🙏 🙌
Hi Nate, I have already watched each one in the series as you originally released them. Much respect for you then, much respect for you now, if not more. I remember thinking how amazing your recall was. When I look back on my own life, my own mistakes, my own accomplishments, I don't know if I could have retold it as clear. For those who are not familiar with your journey or are missing some in the series, I think this will make it much easier for them to catch up. Hopefully they realize you did not have to share any of this, but you did nonetheless because that is the type of person you are! It's hard building on a foundation that is not firm. Imho you are doing the work of ensuring that the foundation is solid! A big kudos, hats-off and am sending many blessings your way! ❤
Ty. I definitely didn't have to share it... But in a way I did. No skeletons in the closet, as transparent as I can be from my perspective, and now moving on. I won't let the past haunt me, but I will be aware that those from my past are willing to have a hand in my future if they see an opportunity to cause difficulty.
My aunt always says this comma except, she forgot half of it. she forgot the, 'it's an opportunity' part. that's huge. she was very contradictory, and nuts, so, entertaining
Dude if you're humbling yourself before the creator asking him what's wrong with you on the daily, and you get no answer, that's your answer. In trauma counseling, they say that the thing "wrong" with you is a lack of adequate defenses from people who...let's say, they have high support needs in terms of very strong boundaries. If you've been conditioned your whole life to try to appease and make reason of people and situations that are unreasonable, then you're vulnerable to bad-faith behavior. I've been through much the same. A lot of your story reminds me of mine. I can relate to coming out the other side, too. I'm really happy for you, and I'm glad you shared your story with your community. I appreciate the honest, conscientious, and transparent approach you take with your channel and your life.
I personally, like so many, find human back stories so fascinating... we have all lived, most have great times and not so great times, and if we all share, and actively listen we can learn from the experiences ❤️... if we all as adults did that what a wonderful world this could be... You sir are just an awesome human being and we should all learn something from you kind loving heart and you perseverance for your dream... im so sorry forbthe poisonous humans that attached themselves to you until they felt you were no longer useful for them ... please keep sharing so other are able to keep learning 💕
Nate been watching you fora while. Your meekness should not be taken as weakness. I’ve seen parts of this, but not the whole thing. Thank you for putting this together. I spent today listening to you. I’m glad you have minion. God bless.

Well Nate you sure have turned things around Lots of hard work and dedication to reach your goal. Jealousy is a very deadly emotion as you well know! Thank goodness it happened sooner than later or it would’ve really been expensive. All the best Nate I look forward to your content every day.
Hey, thanks a lot for sharing Nate! The good (“that’s gooooood”), the bad and the ugly. Often learning from “failure” is the most valuable education. Good luck and Godspeed to you and yours!🍻 P.s. Your story has quite a few parallels to my own. I’m certainly not trying to “blow smoke up your butt” but it really does take a “big man” (aka a decent person) to admit your flaws especially in public. I’m sure your story will help many more people than you could ever know, thanks again. Keep on keepin on brother!
Hey Nate: Well, it looks like you *FINALLY* finished editing the video which you had said that you wanted to work on and I'm sure that you're very *RELIEVED* to know that you have your life in such a *BETTER* position now than it was back then. Personally, I see that you have had a great *IMPROVEMENT* over the last year and the *HOMESTEAD* is so much nicer looking than when I first joined you guys {not that it wasn't before, but you know what I mean....} It's really *AWESOME* to see that everything is great with your life now and you can *FINALLY* put this series behind you!!! ~ JonseyG 👲💖🎉🎉😊😊
Nate fellow homesteader here in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you for sharing your story brother. I listened to it while working my property over the past 2 days. I appreciate your openness and authenticity. The Lord deals with both hands, so yes everything has a return. Love you content. Stay blessed.
Nate, I'm sorry. It sounds like you got caught up in the net of a narcissist. The damage can be severe. Glad to see you got out and found someone much more worth your time.

Wow!!!! Thanks Nate for sharing. Thank God you fought Nate. It's sad to see family hurt you. But isn't that the case. Believe me I know that betrayal very well.. but thank God that's the past. God bless you Nate.. love All you guys... 😊
Wow, what a story! I grew up in a Methodist ministers household. When I left for college I was eventually approached by a Southern Baptist preacher and so I became a Southern Baptist. Eventually I ended up getting married and having children. The second child has Down Syndrome and as he grew into a toddler who was a running dotter and no one wanted to help keep him corralled. We eventually left that church and NO ONE noticed, NO ONE contacted me. It was after that I read Asimov's book on the creation of the Bible and it was that book that showed me how religious organizations are nothing more than an extension of a government to help stop people from thinking for themselves. I now believe that God (or a higher being) exists but the Bible is nothing more than stories and myths with a message of how you should live or not live as a human being. Loved this video; it gives us great context of how you are you.
Thanks for sharing this Very interesting . You are such an awesome man .Sorry you had to deal with all of this .And mostly happy to see you made it thru and came out where you are .
Thank you. Providence led me to this story as I am going through a divorce and an emotionally rough time. I applaud your courage and strength to share your story. It is more important than you could ever imagine. I personally could never do it. I must admit that I envy the support system you have built, but I am truly inspired to cultivate my own. I am currently absolutely alone struggling to save my family's small homestead farm and often mistakenly feel like Jobe. Watching your TH-cam videos has been a bright point of hope reminding me just how many blessings, privileges, and resources I really have to work with. Although I have lost my religion, stories like your's restore my faith. I have a long dark struggle ahead of me, but the reward I feel working, cultivating, and restoring this land fuels me with more joy than my failed marriage ever did. Muscovys and Dogs are also at the core of my own homestead endeavor, although I also have chickens, ducks, guineas, geese, turkeys, sheep, and goats to contend with. Like you, I talk to them like people and their presence, I think, has saved me from a darker, more tragic outcome. It has been a year since my struggle began, and it feels like I am just coming out of a state of shock. I feel like I've been drowning, and your videos have been like oxygen, letting me know I am not Jobe, and I am not alone. Thank you.
I watched EVERY BIT of the original!! I'm glad your life got better and Jen is with you! I found your channel around the time you were still living in the camper all by yourself with Minion. I was like dang. He's a great man and needs a great companion to lift him and make life worth living again. I'm glad things did a 180°. When a great man is cared for he will flourish and grow! And that you have! Wishing you, Jen and the entire Homestead all the best. Much laughter & love & good times! 💚💙💜💚💙💜💚💙💜
So having reached the point in the video. Thank you. Thank you for having your beliefs but not really ever bringing them up on this channel. I do not share your beliefs and it is very welcome to hear you do believe in some higher power but that you deliberately keep it separate. Also, thank you for just plain being decent and putting the story out in a level reasoned way, you never seemed angry or frustrated with it, its speaks to the bigger person in you that you can be so reasonable.
Sorry you had to go through all this, many of us have a similar story. You're doing great and I sincerely hope you keep your head up! Two things I always keep in mind when the "can I have a relationship with these folks that hurt me" conversation enters my thoughts: 1. Maya Angelou said "When someone shows you who they are, believe them" and 2. "I don’t know a perfect person. I only know flawed people who are still worth loving" from John Green. That said, establishing boundaries and keeping lines of communication flowing are good things, as long as you feel that it is worth the effort. You can't change anyone but yourself and sometimes some people are just not worth the energy. Great channel, you're finding your way and being an example to so many. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Haven't got through the whole video yet, but I felt same about my babysister, but we eventually got along ,we were after all of that stuff really close, we as adults got into a argument and didn't talk for sometime got past that we had talked on the phone for about a month ,I was going to go visit her I never got the chance she passed away 2017 so I never did get to visit her, so I have learnt my lesson, a very heart wrenching lesson 😢, life is rough if we don't make mistakes we don't learn I suppose . Have to leave wifi for a bit ,I will be back interesting 🤔
Your bravery in opening up about challenging incidents and relationships from your past is extremely admirable. It takes a lot of courage to do this... especially when it means doing it on the internet. You are loved and accepted. I hope to have the same courage one day. Cheers to the future.
Nate I remember seeing your sister and ex wife on your videos and they both seemed off. Like they didn’t seem genuine. I continued to watch you and have been here a long time. Hi Nate I've watched a fair number of your previous videos ! Thinking you are a cat of different colors !😊 This , video so far after Chapter 9 LOL😊 I really can't understand how a person or in your case the two of you would stay together ! Thinking both of you are NUTS ! Like you guys really needed to give your head a shake ! I'm gonna watch more but I have a feeling it's not gonna really get any better for you ! Sad situation that you guys put up with ! Wondering ...in episode 9 there is a lot of noise in the background...is that your girlfriend working in the kitchen ?? If so I'm thinking it's probably Not really a healthy situation for your girlfriend listening to this history of an ex wife ! Anyway I guess it is what it is !!
As someone who only occasionally checks in here to see how Minion is doing (j/k .. I like, enjoy & learn from Nate's content) I found this video enthralling. So much could be said about the different twists & turns that led Nate to this point in his life, but I'll only say this ... I'm happy that Jen is in his life now, I'm a good vibes person ... and she gives off really good vibes. Best wishes to you both!!
Thanks for sharing this, I can relate in the manner of getting married too young (@ 21) - eloping in Las Vegas non the less to my university boyfriend. Ended in a divorce, which luckily was amicable.

I am not all the way through the video yet, but I can definitely relate to making huge mistakes and allowing mistreatment in my first relationship because of inaccurate religious interpretations. My cat, who you'll see in my profile picture, helped me immensely during the COVID lockdown. I look forward to seeing more of your videos as I try to become a mini homesteader myself 😊
Helping people is tough sometimes when you have random people coming to your property that you don’t know. That’s how good people end up on true crime shows.
How sad Nate! What a mess. Weve all been through some weird times in our lives. Especially when we were younger and less experienced. Responsibilites were a new concept. That Jezabelle is quite a monster. I can see why you were alone for awhile. I love your videos though❤
I think I subscribed months ago and watched a few videos. The shorter recent video on this situation landed in my feed today and I managed to listen to all of this ehile tended the farm. Man, what a ride. I'm glad you still have your positive outlook and I need to follow your work on that cinder block building you just posted. Happiness is infectious so keep sharing it as much as you can.
Oh my goodness 😮 So sorry to hear how much you went through. Just goes to show you that we all have a story that people don’t know about. I’m so glad you were able to break free from all of that and able to find new love and start a fresh new Wonderful life for yourself 😎🥰🙏
Minion just chilling in the back at the end just makes me happy. You had him befor and he was there the whole time. For all the good and bad moments and I love the idea that he was sent to you for a reason. To go through with you to all of that and gets happy ever after with you!

I'm so happy everything worked out for you man you seem like a really nice guy super gullible but a really nice guy you got a good heart and you're doing good things with it it's hard to surround yourself with good people
Nate. You should totally get a ghost writer and put out a book. Or do it yourself, idk maybe you're a great writer for all I know, lol. I think it's an interesting enough story to warrant a wider audience. And when it's made into an audio book, you narrating it will be absolute perfection. That's just my 2 cents, but I think it would be great.
Went thru almost the same thing about 20yrs ago. its exhausting, disorienting, and frightening. living well is the best revenge. (i grew up mennonite btw. left w the good parts of the faith, left the rest behind) stay well in God, chere
Summary:
Nate's story is a personal account of how his homestead came to be, and the challenging journey that led him there. Here's the key narrative:
Early Life & Background:
Nate grew up in Pennsylvania with his younger siblings Jezebel and Nabal. Though he initially had a strained relationship with his brother, he eventually became Christian and their relationship improved. His family later converted to Mennonite Christianity when he was 16. After high school, he moved to Pennsylvania to work in construction.
Marriage & Early Adult Life:
Nate married Delila after meeting her online. Their early marriage seemed stable until he discovered she had multiple affairs. Despite this, influenced by his religious beliefs about forgiveness, he chose to stay in the marriage and work through it. They attended various churches, eventually settling into a Baptist congregation.
Path to Homesteading:
Nate, Delila, and his sister Jezebel decided to start a homestead together. They pooled their resources, with Nate providing most of the funding and Jezebel planning to manage the animals. They eventually found and purchased a 100-acre property in West Virginia.
The Breakdown:
After moving to the homestead, tensions grew between all parties. Jezebel showed concerning behavior with animals, often responding with anger and harsh treatment. Delila became increasingly unhappy with homestead life. The situation deteriorated further when Nate gained a significant following on social media, which created jealousy and additional tension.
The Crisis:
One morning, Nate woke to find a group of Mennonites and religious leaders at his door. They helped Jezebel suddenly move out, leaving dead animals scattered across the property. This group then attempted to manipulate Nate through what he later recognized as cult-like brainwashing tactics, trying to convince him he was a narcissist who needed rehabilitation at a Mennonite facility.
Resolution:
Nate eventually realized he was being manipulated by this religious group. With support from his social media moderators (including Jen, who later became his girlfriend) and neighbors, he managed to:
- Complete a financial separation from both Jezebel and Delila
- Obtain a loan to buy out their shares of the property
- Finalize his divorce from Delila
- Cut ties with the Mennonite group
The Aftermath:
Though the experience was traumatic, Nate has continued building his homestead. Some positive outcomes emerged: three ducks that survived Jezebel's departure have multiplied into twenty-two, he's developed strong relationships with his neighbors, and he's found new happiness with Jen. He continues to run his successful social media channels while building his homestead, though he remains cautious about the potential for the Mennonite group to resurface in his life.
The story serves as both a personal account of survival through manipulation and betrayal, and a cautionary tale about certain religious groups that operate more like cults, using people's vulnerabilities against them for financial and social control.

I didn't know your story, and I am watching this bits at a time. This is very interesting and personal. It's giving me a lot more insight into the energy you put off as a person. Much respect.
(Replying to myself to finish my comment after finishing watching this...)
This was one heck of a story.
Keep it up!
I remembered why I connect with you around 1:09ish... Thanks for sharing with us.
Love this it’s like a Nate podcast and I could listen alllll day brother
Bro you’re a real one Nate. God bless you for telling your story homie. You got super introverted energy and it makes sense why. I’m a city kid and I somehow totally relate. Much love from Memphis big doggie!
I’m so proud of you Nate!!
I'm loving the way you go through stories and are not judgmental or in dispare. I had no idea there's so much history to the homestead
you deserve the happiness you fought for. im glad you came out okay
I honestly loved your story, I made an effort to watch all of them but it'll be nice to hear it all in one video. This series was great and God had so much better planned out for you ❤️ Jen is such a a blessing
You own this story because it is you. Thank you for the share and inclusion!
Wow, it's been 5 hours already? 🤯😏 all jokes aside I have a lot more respect for you after knowing your struggle. Keep on keeping on Nate dawg! 👍
Thank you for this! I came in about a year ago and have been curious about your story before then and this long form story is a good way to catch up. Thank you for creating 🎉
Nate my heart goes out to you. Going thru some very similar issues with my son right now and it really hits home. Heartbreaking. Wasn't sure I could make it thru this video... lol... but I did. ❤❤❤
Nate’s a legend we love your videos
@@Narrowayhomestead 💯❤
Nate, my grandma always said: “When you can resolve a problem with money, it’s no longer considered a problem, it’s an opportunity.”
My aunt always says this comma except, she forgot half of it. she forgot the, 'it's an opportunity' part. that's huge. she was very contradictory, and nuts, so, entertaining
That is really cool. I like that. "It's an opportunity." Perspective.
God bless.
Hi dude. I'm Brazilian, I use your channel to learn and listen natives American speaking in english... I'm glad cuz I'm getting to understand your accent only listen you without subtitle. I think that your accent is very difficult but now, I get it 😂... thank so much!! Keep make it
Well Nate you sure have turned things around
Lots of hard work and dedication to reach your goal. Jealousy is a very deadly emotion as you well know!
Thank goodness it happened sooner than later or it would’ve really been expensive.
All the best Nate I look forward to your content every day.
I’ll watch/listen to this later tonight. It’s almost two hours. ❤
Luv you Nate❤ thank you for your courage to speak out.
You have taught me, a complete stranger, a great deal about life.🙏🏼
This is true dedication, people really got the explanation they wanted haha. Love u dude no homo/no gay
Hey, thanks a lot for sharing Nate!
The good (“that’s gooooood”), the bad and the ugly.
Often learning from “failure” is the most valuable education.
Good luck and Godspeed to you and yours!🍻
Such a sad story Nate..I too have my own disastrous and sad life..I am not close to anything back when..Thankyou for sharing...😊❤😊
Nate, I'm sorry. It sounds like you got caught up in the net of a narcissist. The damage can be severe. Glad to see you got out and found someone much more worth your time.
My buster got me threw my bad time now I have 19 dogs and 3 cats a horse and they r my reason for getting up and going to sleep decided I am better off with them then a man. So glad u have jen minion az ducks cats and u r on the right track SO PROUD we learn from our mistakes.
I spent my Sunday morning listening and watching this as I clean my house you are one strong man I'm glad to see you doing so well I love watching your videos keep up the good work man
That wasn't easy to relive.
You're life is only going to get better.
Keep doing you.
Thank you.
Just remember you have lived leaned and grown. Without past there is no future.
Yes there is if I forgot everything there would still be a future
Man i watched it but its great to have a solid video. Much love from the mitten state!
I'm pumped to be watching this ...I never watched any of the short clip videos
I watched EVERY BIT of the original!! I'm glad your life got better and Jen is with you! I found your channel around the time you were still living in the camper all by yourself with Minion. I was like dang. He's a great man and needs a great companion to lift him and make life worth living again. I'm glad things did a 180°. When a great man is cared for he will flourish and grow! And that you have! Wishing you, Jen and the entire Homestead all the best. Much laughter & love & good times!
💚💙💜💚💙💜💚💙💜
Thank you for sharing this Nate, your authenticity and honesty is what makes us love you!
YOU DA MAN NATE!!! Glad you pulled through and thank you for the videos.
Excellent. Looking forward to seeing this all in one. Cheers for this.
Nate I remember seeing your sister and ex wife on your videos and they both seemed off. Like they didn’t seem genuine. I continued to watch you and have been here a long time. I’m so glad you shared this story it was very interesting but I’m very sad that this happened to you. I’m glad to see you be so successful with all of your social media platforms 🎉🙌
Wish I could have seen it. Ahh well it all ended ok
Hi Nate
I've watched a fair number of your previous videos ! Thinking you are a cat of different colors !😊
This , video so far after Chapter 9 LOL😊
I really can't understand how a person or in your case the two of you would stay together !
All you can control is your reaction. You must have reacted with finding your best self, because you got yourself Jen.
Been following since you started working with Will...this brought me up to date! I am happy that all the BS did not burn you from working with other...like Will!
I won’t let them ruin me as a person
This is a great share alot of parallels to my life. But enough about me. Thanks Nate
Nate I thought u did a great job of telling ur story and taking responsibility for ur part in good and bad. Ur story gave me much respect for u.
I’m here when you’re ready!!
Been waiting for the rest of it
Sending lots of love and prayers. You are doing well in your life and world. Just always let God lead you and walk on.
Helping people is tough sometimes when you have random people coming to your property that you don’t know. That’s how good people end up on true crime shows.
Nate your wonderful i can't say how much this life of ours can be so cruel les all keep living
How sad Nate! What a mess. Weve all been through some weird times in our lives. Especially when we were younger and less experienced. Responsibilites were a new concept. That Jezabelle is quite a monster. I can see why you were alone for awhile. I love your videos though❤
I usually tune in while i work from home and this was a good listen.
Thanks Nate..honestly eye Opening.. go Get it!
The creator will take care of them, Nate. So proud of you for washing your hands and leaving it in his.
Not if they ask for forgiveness, that’s the loophole
@@chaos0852To get into heaven you must truly change your ways. See Matthew 7:21-23.
All the religious stuff is just magical thinkihg detracting away from people participating in culty delusional behavior
Yes ❤ Amen!! 🎉
Minion just chilling in the back at the end just makes me happy. You had him befor and he was there the whole time. For all the good and bad moments and I love the idea that he was sent to you for a reason. To go through with you to all of that and gets happy ever after with you!
So much respect for you
Im up to part14...You are not boring to listen to...Cheers from Sydney Australia 😊I love your lifestyle & your attitude towards life..Will hopefully finish the video in another day.😊
I've followed Nate since his Rocket Stove days, I'm proud of Nate He has and continues to over achieve and share his Wisdom and knowledge of things needed in this lifestyle
This is really worth listening too
I'm so happy everything worked out for you man you seem like a really nice guy super gullible but a really nice guy you got a good heart and you're doing good things with it it's hard to surround yourself with good people
(i grew up mennonite btw. left w the good parts of the faith, left the rest behind)
stay well in God, chere
I'm glad you are ok ,you deserve a peaceful life etc 😊❤👍
What a ride thankyou nate i learned so much
