    I met Henry Diltz a few years back. He came to a university art gallery in my area, while touring the country with a sampling of his iconic pictures. Great guy, pleasant and friendly, with many interesting stories to tell of everyone he photographed.

    I loved going up in the Canyon in the 1970’s. My sister lived up there and I would spend some time there. ♥️

    OMG, those three figures on that couch are so etched into my memory, and it's very cool to see this angle of the house. Love this.

    Henry Diltz, the absolute champion of six degrees of separation of just about all mid-'60s to mid-'70s music.

    For some objective truth about the history read Dave McGowan’s book Weird Scenes in Laurel Canyon.

      yep. Good stuff. Note that the bigtime musicians now are pushing the vaccine agenda. What a surprise!!

      Most of the facts in that book were never really secrets.. notice that the book is fairly inconclusive?

    • @monkeyb1820
      @monkeyb1820 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justaguy2365 inconclusive how? It was pretty conclusive. Just hard to tell how pervasive, but it looks like pretty much all musicians that make it big have these type of government connections.

      @@monkeyb1820 And? That entire generation had military ties since the vast majority of them had dads serving in WW2. Why is that a huge surprise? What was the major conclusion of the book? I could find none. Just a lot of happenstance.

    • @monkeyb1820
      @monkeyb1820 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justaguy2365 not everyone had dads that served in high level intel and/or moved around the world a lot. But you make a good point that the children of WW2 soldiers may have been a generation disproportionately put into MK Ultra.

    Fantastic time period he was able to be in. Document. How many unseen photos he has. I’ve never heard about the Mama Cass picnic with Clapton. I had heard about the party where Clapton got busted with Neil Young and Steven Stills ran out the back door.

    I hope all of Henry's negatives and slides have been digitally copied. A wildfire could erase a lot of history.

    The Doors were sooooo very far ahead of their time. It wasn"t until Boston broke big about 10 years later that a lighter shade of Doors like music, IMHO, came along.

      What you are seeing, directly above Nash's head in that shot, is a reflection in the window of the peak of a roof across from the house CSN are sitting in front of.
      Not sure what you mean by "Can"???
