    I took a racing course here in Canada it was three days long and on the last day it was a race amongst the students it was a blast. There were coaches at every third corner and after five laps you would come in and they would critique your riding and lines. It was priceless. Can’t wait to see your improvements.

      Fantastic stuff mate, coaches are so important for continuing that learning journey which we all have to go through

    Great vid. Quick comment on your rear4sets issue. It was the fact you done the nuts up with the rose joint(s) tight to one side and removed their ability to do their job which is move ever so slightly ;) Therefore as everything is tight the vibrations are transmitted through the sensor and therefore the unwanted shifting or blipping occurring.

    • @ChasingTenths

      Brilliantly explained that, that’s exactly what it was lol
      I just explained it in a more Lehman term (frankly I had no idea what the hell was happening lol) but we cured it lol
      Thanks for watching and commenting mate

      @@ChasingTenths first time out on my newly acquired 1299, bit damp in places but a cracking day. At Brands next week with some fresh Supercorsa's. Have you tried Motul 660 brake fluid? Have just refreshed the bike fluids and the brake bite & feel is fantastic, surprised how much difference it made, worth trying!

      And yes the 660 brake fluid is absolutely brilliant, especially it manages heat dynamics really well. You have done the right thing . And you’ll enjoy the supercorsas too, I used them for 4 years in a row

    I love the 18 setting on my 17rcs corsa corta. I like the combination of that spongy feel with the phenomenal braking. Feels like I'm digging in. Idk it's very satisfying 😅😅 but then I mostly ride on road

    Great video, thank you. I now just gone back and watched all your previous videos.
    I don’t know if you are open to any feedback on your ‘fast lap’ from a complete nobody, with zero race experience, but I watched your video (a lot of times) to see if I felt you could get a few Tenths.
    Observations
    Racing line. It looks like your turn in markers are early for a number of corners, by squaring off the corners you’d make the straights (especially the short ones) longer, which means you a leant over for less time.
    Braking: try to shut the throttle and brake 100% in the same motion, downshift at the same time to stabilise the bike. Trail-brake upto the apex to keep the front loaded.
    Throttle: open the throttle 10% from the apex to settle the suspension and continue in one smooth application, then get on it harder and earlier. 100% throttle. (If you keep your body weight off to the inside, opening the throttle will pick the bike up without you running wide)
    I hope you take these suggestions with my best intentions and not as criticism from a faceless TH-cam watcher ( its been a rainy Saturday morning and I love Aprilia’s)

      Beautiful feedback Ian, thank you so much
      I am so grateful, you took time out to mention such constructive & meaningful points in your comment. Honestly, we are all learning & trying hard to go faster but safer. I was really all over the place on this race track , so much dead time and just overthinking mid corner and before corner so I totally agree with a lot of the feedback you have given me.
      This year I am trying to log a few mistakes and consistent bad habits because I am constantly making the same mistakes again and again , especially not using the full width of the track ... so thank you again .
      Brilliant comment
      Thanks for watching my videos with so much positivity and good intent to help me out . 🤗👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

      @@ChasingTenths I’m really pleased we agree, we never stop learning. I believe you had an easy sub 1:40 in you at Donington if you’d been on the race line. Silverstone, it’s a wide track, but again it’s so so important to be on the race line and sadly I think you went down because you were over a metre off line. Looking forward to your next video

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianmajor8227 absolutely true, Dean Ellison also looked at my donnigton lap footage and he said that at certain points I am not using full track . I haven’t been close to that 1 min 42 time since , but that was a good day.
      Silverstone I have a lot more in the bag I think, my ideal lap there is a 2 min 23
      So I know I can improve on my lap for sure .
      It’s a learning journey and positive people like yourself who give excellent constructive encouragement are always a blessing to have as a support 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    I threw those TD slicks on. Def put warmers on. I nearly lost the rear on the exit of the pitlane at Cadwell. Granted, they weren't scrubbed in, but it's not like it says no need for warmers except scrubbing in so 100% warmers. Brilliant when up to temp! Worn really well. No tearing at all like you said

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Darryl, I am so silly, I totally forgot to mention the The full system , the full system ... with long baffle it’s 101 db
      With short baffle it’s 103 db (but it’s still acceptable)
      Without its 105 to 106 db static 5000 RPM with the sound meter being at half a meter from the exhaust in the open area not in a closed garage or open garage . Figures are indicative , it can depend on engine temperature and sound device calibration

      Don’t worry Rich, you’ll be fine with them . The only time I heard these tyres struggled was the newly tarmac’d Portimao circuit before they had the F1 Grand Prix last year , they had a track day 2 weeks before the Grand Prix and the Metzeler TD didn’t like the new tarmac , otherwise I have had no issues at all Absolutely no issues whatsoever

    Great Vid again Abhi,
    Gonna have to check the settings on my brembo M/c as they are a bit spongy but that is a common issue with the new gixxers, if that fails it'll be abs delete but I'd rather keep that for the lean angle abs to save me if trail breaking goes wrong 🙈

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha , good point mate . ABS is a little more intrusive on Japanese bike naturally. Especially on Suzuki and Yamaha , so see how it goes . The OEM calliper with the 2017 GSXR could have been better . They should have put at least an M50 calliper on it. But if you got no air in the system , lovely callipers . It should work so well
