Even here in the US. I use ear plugs for sleeping. Do not go to the PI without ear plugs. Roosters, bullfrogs, rain on metal roofs, exhaust mufflers on jeepney and tricycles. You do get used to it. I miss the bullfrogs and rain on the roof, but if you are not used to it or new to the PI. Yes, it can be annoying. Your flight may be noisy too. Bring a sandwich bag of ear plugs.

I have a 4 bed 2.5 bath 3000sq ft house and I used to pay at most $175 per month for electric… then I built several 3D solar towers and hooked it up… now I get an average check or credit of $65-90 paid to me cause I hooked it up where I sell the extra energy back to the grid

For foreigners, most of whom are very trusting towards others, you don't know you have been ripped off in the Philippines
until it happens. My wife and i have property there and i resided there permanently until before the Covid restrictions.
Many people including neighbours and even family all of whom i trusted, ripped me off or tried to rip me off for money.
Whilst i love the Philippines, the end result for me is i do not trust anyone there because of what happened to me and my wife. Mostly foreigners are trustworthy, but Filipino's cannot be trusted, in my opinion and my wife agree's. Bob.

Great video and very professional (and fun to watch too). Love how you are in different locations and walking outside for each point. How many kwh of electricity do you use each month?

Very interesting channel. I have a filipino boyfriend and filipino friends. Hahaha the opposite like in the Switzerland. Here one of the most important rule is 'be on time', it's really important here. Nobody will wait for you. Ah yes and the interenet there 🤦🏼‍♀️
    Great video.

In addition to the Philippines being the largest OW (overseas workers) also one of the largest remittances in the world now becoming the largest employer for call centers you may want to check the financial DATA on that also you will be surprised.

I see, so if you need a meeting at 12, you tell her its at 10 haha. I think Thieves see a Foreigner as a target more than a local not just because they maybe have more expensive things but because they are more likely to let their guard down. Especially the Cities. Do you shout at Tim in Visaya when argue? haha. Yes dont always carry 1k notes. Its Cheap sometimes but if they see a Foreigner price goes up haha. You should post your internet speeds, does it Vary? By comparison Electricity is expensive there, blackouts and Brown outs to share electricity loads. Good to see you all including mysterious Hannah. Amping and God Bless.

Yep, Chrissy is right about monetary funds and a lot of other youtube travel channels explain the same thing bring larger amout of dollar bills to exchange but I advise this if you're going to visit Philippines open a bank account there is better they do have branches in California and some other states I believe like PNB but most bank like wells Fargo, chase, and Usbc have branch in Manila so get some debit card there or transfer your funds there and get exchange rate dollar to pesos currency or deposit money wells Fargo tell them you're visiting Philippines and you want to use your card there or withdraw from manila Do not let anyone see you holding currency around or you're asking for trouble.

chrissy, when you say you "always" experience blackouts, how often is that? Every day for 2 hours, Once per week for 12 hours .... How often would you say.

Whatever it is, it's too often to NOT notice and too often to comfortably experience regularly.

You are correct Chrissie K. Especially when it comes to Brownout on our island of Camotes. It will happen any time of the day. Morning or lunch or late evenings. Internet on Camotes Island is ok. Better signal upstairs hehe. I always bring lots of small change bc places there don't have the capacity to carry big notes. Especially in the marketplace in San Francisco Chrissie K. I can't wait to get back to Camotes Island when the Philippines opens up hopefully mid next year 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
