I am, professionally, a jazz guitarist, but I cut my teeth on shred guitar when I was growing up. Your playing, beyond being technically flawless, is wonderfully nostalgic for me in the most pleasing way. I'm so glad that one of you exists, and I'm rather certain that ONLY one of you does!
Plays like the Devil and only gets 825 likes. Such covers definitely deserve more perception, you are technically and musical wise such a great player!
Thank you! Unfortunately, TH-cam algorithms don't show my videos to almost anyone so this is the result. If one is not trendy, they're bound to oblivion.
Brings me back to when I heard Vinnie play this at the Channel in Boston in 1992. Almost didn't make it to concert as hurricane tail end was hitting us. Wind was insane going over Mystic Tobin.
Well I Guess When You Like This Music It’s Hard Not To Love Vinnie Moore!!! This Man Is My Favorite Player Of That Time And Still, He Was Flawless In His Approach And His Writing Was Amazing!! You Are Gifted Yourself Alexandra, I’m Blown Away I’ve Never Met A Musician Male Or Female That Likes The Same Guitar Players, It’s Like My Playlist Of Favorites you are Wicked. Respect Alexandra
wow, just freaking wow! You are such an amazing and inspiring guitarist! Love how you flashed your eyes up for a second after the tapped harmonics @2:57, and the victory smile at the end. Your abilities and attention to details truly hang with the best.
Thank you very much for the kind words! Looks like you also have an eye for details ;) The tapping harmonics are added by me - they weren't present in the original piece, but I was always wondering why there aren't any notes there - it felt like something is missing, so I put the harmonics - it's something I often do in such cases of... awkward lack of notes :D
Excelent rendition! This Vinnie moore's Album is totally fantastic! There's a song in this same album called Race with Destiny that's one of my favorite shred songs ever.
Great cover, as always. Vinnie Moore was one of my favourites in the 80's, Randy Rhoads, Vitto Brata, Tommy Vetterli and many more, obviously a great decade for the guitar . thank you for your work
+Harry Timmons Thank you for the nice words! I am glad, that you like my videos :) I must admit, that it wasn't easy at all to do this piece, especially the troubles I had to learn it by ear...
You need not convince me on the struggle of learning technical pieces, I applaud you! I do not have the patience to learn something that technical, I just jam, and gain inspiration from players like you, so I say thank you and Peace!
Alexandra Zerner i had on VHS:- Vinnie Moore Paul Gilbert x2 Albert Lee Frank Gamble [I attended one of clinics in London when he was touring with it] Greg Howe plus a couple more probably!?! ;○)
Sorry for not replying to you guys, but TH-cam has some problems with the comment sections on few of my videos and this is one of them. I am notifying them on regular basis, but unfortunately the problem still persists...
I've been listening to "Time Odyssey" since it was put out 30odd years ago, and i know it intimately, yours is the best cover ever, i can tell that you've got way more chops than is needed to play it ( your playing the song, the song isn't playing you ), the way you add your own little swagger without losing any of the subtleness that makes it what it is, your like the big boys that play with guys like Ozzy, Go Hard Alexandra !
Thank you for the insightful comment! I am happy, that you appreciate my rendition :) According to my beliefs, one's technical abilities should exceed the required level for the piece played, by let's say 20%, so they can feel comfortable and not tense, when executing. I guess this is what you defined as "you're playing the song, the song isn't playing you" :)
Thats exactly what i meant, when i was studying Jazz @ University one of my instructors used to say that when playing a piece of music, you should have "to play @ the top of your chops", meaning you should have the 20% you mentioned ( which i agree with by the way ) as backup so you can comfortably play the piece, Did you know that there is a note for note tab book for "Time Odyssey" ?, It was realesd back in the day, I really love that Album, its just so easy to listen to.
Sorry for my late reply, but TH-cam generally messed up something with the comments and they don't show up... I wasn't aware of the tab book, sadly. I live in Bulgaria and until 1989 we were in the eastern european communist block and there weren't almost any western world materials available up to the mid 90's and even then it was hard to get such.
This the third video I've watched now, you are very talented. Do you have or are you planning on doing anything of your own. I'd love to hear something you wrote.
Thank you! :) I've got two solo albums and I am currently working on the third. Here's the first one (2014): th-cam.com/play/PLJYwMUPn-tyHP_M1JHaZ4T2rqQXtZqaNB.html And the second one (2015): th-cam.com/video/u5KrMskJzkA/w-d-xo.html
Cool! This is vinnies best album imo. I have the tab but man, vinnies is a machine. I couldn't play a fraction of it up to full tempo. Great playing and tone!
Played with a good "groove"! Your playing has both emotion and excellent technique. Great to discover a virtuoso guitarist covering tracks of my favorite neo-classical guitarists! 😀
This is fantastic but I wish the backing track were a little lower. I’m getting punched in the face with drums and high hats, and stuff while I’m listening to your excellent guitar 🙂
+ElShooto HardRock If you want to tell me something, please do it in a language, that I speak well (Bulgarian and English), otherwise it's pointless. Google translate can't translate full text properly, also I don't think you should ask me to translate something that you wanted to say, when you could use translator too, before posting. This is just disrespectful.
Just can't believe 8 idiots even dare to give you a negative feedback. Although we can get the emotions you feel as you play that song, you seemed to have liked it since you kept the beat all along!! welll done..
Thank you very much! Well, we can't please everyone so there are always negative feedbacks. I believe that the music itself is a language to express emotion, hence playing without emotion is like blabbering random words.

As a huge Vinnie Moore fan and Jason Becker fan, you are absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you very much! I am flattered! :)
Flawless technique. Your efficiency of motion is excellent! Great job!!

Awesome musician you girl! I would love to see you playing Vinnie s Shadows of Yesterday! Wish you success!
Thank you! At a certain point, I will do more Vinnie's covers but it takes time because I've got a lot of things to do now.

I agree about the album, although I can't really say if Time Odyssey or Mind's Eye is my top. I plan to do a cover of Daydream too :)
Eccezionale... un Genio!

I am not brazilian - I am bulgarian... I love languages and try to learn something in every language, that I meet :)
great play...please visit koera & show your nice guitar play
Thanks! I hope someday I would be able to come.
Now i'm sure , if there is a guitar god, she is female and named Alexandra!
Thank you! I am really flattered!
Vintage Vinnie, you nailed it with some tasty lady
geil \m/
+Klaus Slippens Dankeschön :)

This is fantastic but I wish the backing track were a little lower.
I’m getting punched in the face with drums and high hats,
and stuff while I’m listening
to your excellent guitar 🙂
Thank you! I am sorry for the backing track. I would prefer to do one myself but I haven't got enough time. For sure, it's not the case now :)
your facial expressions are fun to watch, hehe
It's a rare thing to see a guitar player who doesn't do funny faces :D I think Robert Fripp is the only one I've never seen to do such...
I will look him up!
just discovered The Robert Fripp String Quartet and I'm in love!
This is good. You should play melodies, long tones ....and the smile is here.
