I’m not quite understanding “palm muting” do you constantly keep you hand there or do you only “palm mute” at a certain time? if so what time and when

My advice is leave it palm muted. I'm not sure of your experience level, but the more you practice palm muting the more comfortable you will be at it and you'll be able to control how much is muted if that makes sense
