I love Monty Don loads because Monty inspired me to grow fruit and veg and now we get some meals from what I try to grow, each year I succeed a little more few meals, my dream is to be able to eat from my garden everyday and share it too. quite a challenge without a greenhouse. Thank you loads , I am very grateful,you are very kind to give your time to make me very happy . I bet there are others who also appreciate the subtitles too :-) now I shut up and snuggle down to watch :-)
Absolutely spectacular! I love how Monty Don bring history and the landscape to light. It is more than just simply looking at a pretty picture of a garden. The reason and purpose draw meaning to simple structure and beauty. Hidden features that the eye does not catch, but would miss if it were not there are highlighted and brought to life from and to a true gardener's heart. Thank you so much for sharing your passion and your own history.
To add my praise to the other enthusiastic admirers of Monty (when will it be Sir Monty?) - once again this passionate and sensitive guy is raised to a higher pedestal in my life. I love France and french life and in this piece the writers and producers have taught me things that I have not known before. Thank-you for making this fabulous work available on TH-cam.

Love the last garden or father's garden. Of course Patrick Blanc is a favorite, don't really care for the rest even Monet's, though the water garden part is good.
Can we not overlook his excellent taste in cameras? Fujifilm X-PRO1 and the 35mm f`1.4. Garden's are wonderful, but cameras let us share that visual bounty.
Identified it at last, after it's been annoying me ever since I saw this prog on BBC2 over 3 years ago (thanks to the TrackID app; Shazam and Soundhound didn't get it). It's a song called 'Visualize' by composers Tom Kane and Colin Baldry from an album called 'Simple by Design'. It's basically library music for films and television, but you can get it on CD, e.g. through Discogs.
14:26 Does anyone know which song is that? At first I thought it was something from Erik Satie, it kinda looks like some of his pieces, but I couldn't find it.
I want to see the gardens but Monty Don gets in the way with his opinions and interpretations and his smirking smile and silly hats. And he never shuts up.
