    Rosella, I come back to this recipe every year. I wish you could get paid every time I use one of your recipes. Your production is so good and it's apparent how much work you put into this (and how much work you've *been* putting into this, given how long I've been using your recipes).
    Truly recipes BY Italian-Americans FOR Italian-Americans (and for whoever else too -- just saying there is so much authenticity to your recipes! :) ) I used your pasta con le sarde recipe today for my St Joseph's Day celebration, and it tasted *just* like how I remembered it from as a kid, and I *knew* that my grandfather would be so proud of me if he could've seen it. Your videos and website deserve so much more attention. (Also, would love a video for the pasta con le sarde! ;) ) Thanks for helping to keep the tradition and culture alive.

    Yes! That's where my family is from, Palermo,Sicilia. My nonna used to make sfingi in huge batches and give them to all the family. Man they were the good ol days :)

    Trying to catch up on your videos and recipies...this is another winner! You have a lot of videos so I'm burning the midnight oil! I'm facinated by this style of cooking.,,totally new to me. Truly like your recipes, and I hope you have Lydia back again sometime...you two work well together. I'm a guy and a foodie, but it really matters to me who is making the presentation and how they go about it. You have some personality traits and smoothness of motion that makes this truly enjoyable to watch! I'm hooked and because you use cream and butter and fry things.... so is my Sock Monkey friend!

      Thank you for your prompt reply. I enjoy watching your videos! :)
      Question: why do some people insist on using 00 flour? Will I make a big difference?

    • @cookingwithnonna
      @cookingwithnonna  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Silvia Moran 00 is very finely milled and it will make pastas and baked goods "lighter". You can use all purpose in place of it and it will not be a tremendous difference

    I thought u were going to have a lady from Italy. Did she move to Palermo then that u said she's from Palermo? I thought u were going to have this Italian lady on, but then I realized that it's really an American lady. Being a European myself, let me tell u, they are a little different. Nice lady though.
