Of course there are rare cases, but in general size makes a huge difference thus weight classes in all combat sports. And there you will find people complaining about small differences, 150 to 160 as big advantages, never mind 150 to 290. In the streets with 2 untrained people that learned to fight on the street, you certainly can knock a big guy out at 150. What matters here is the size of the AREA the fight takes place in. The larger the "ring" the better for Lee. At a certain point, it becomes an advantage to be smaller and faster and able to ambush and use coordination etc. If a 20' ring, then that could be an issue. This also depends on what the style and rules for the fight are. Even if no rules, the larger the size of the ring, the better for quick, devastating attacks. Remember, if you cannot be hit, it does not matter the size of the opponent

Instead of sitting with chuck Norris who is 84 and has trained with Bruce or Kareem Abdul jabbar who was Bruce's student, his wife who Bruce met and trained when he came to America. Dan inosanto who till this day runs Bruce's jeet kune do school. Funny how you listen to joe louis talk about bruce yet mjw said joe louis was his mentor but failed to ask joe about Bruce's legitimacy.

Lee had utmost respect and love for Muhammad Ali and went as far as to study his fights in mirrored view by actually reflecting his fight clips in a screen size mirror so Ali would appear to be a southpaw. Reason being Lee favored the southpaw stance because he wanted his fastest and strongest hand in the front yet believed that the left, although weaker, could be trained to be a knockout punch. Most of the sauce hurled at Lee has to do with his lack of ring fights although he actually was a master and trained tirelessly, 7 days a week and sometimes multiple times a day. He had multiple students and none went to him to become ring fighters, but for self defense. Which kinda makes sense as he advocated the use of any physical means to win a fight including eye gouging, throat strikes, groin strikes, elbow strikes, rabbit punches, fish hooking, head butting, biting, stomping, etc. Unarmed fighting against weapons was a no-no and understood a trained knife fighter could kill you and suggested running unless you had a weapon yourself. His Tao of JKD clearly states the groundwork for any fighting art should include boxing, grappling (he used the word wrestling), and footwork (he used fencing towards this means). The man was indeed ahead of his time.
