I bought Kia K5 EX today. Looks just like this one mine is 30k even bought it for my almost 15 yrs old daughter. 17k down borrow 13k from Kia payment $307 for 48 months interest 6.25 I test drove it and loved right away. Btw the dealer wants to charge me 2 more k for protection package. I said hell no I don't those shit. And they try hard to sell extra warranty I told the finance guy NO NO AND NO
This is probably a weird comparison but how does the K5 acceleration compare to the Honda Accord Hybrid? I love my Accord but this could possibly be my next car.
It depends on your region, I’m in Ontario and just picked up my awd EX trim last week. It also came with a heated steering wheel and a “snow” driving mode, both of which I noticed were missing from the car in this video. People looking for the awd drive power train might consider shopping in the snow belt if you’re willing / able to travel or wait and pay for delivery. It feels AMAZING when you floor it coming out of a turn, I was deciding between it and a fwd top trim Mazda 3 and while the Mazda was sporty and I would have been very happy with it, the awd K5 was so grippy and confidant that I fell in love. Looking forward to blasting through snowstorms this coming winter.

I have the AWD GT-Line with the Premium Package and the Panoramic Sunroof Package and I do love it, but I also wish I would have been able have some of the EX amenities like ventilated seats, the Bose sound system, power-folding side view mirrors, surround view monitor, the driver's seat and mirror integrated memory system, the park distance warning, andthe rear vents. I could have gone with the EX without the AWD, but AWD is almost a necessity where I am from as well. Regardless, I love my K5 and I get plenty of compliments on it. Kia is killing it!
I think you have to take the phone case off to get the wireless charging to work. Other than that, great review and car! The EX trim don't get much love. It's either GT-Line or GT. But this is super loaded and competitively priced. Toyota will charge me about $38k for a fully loaded Camry. Sorry, but I just don't see how that price justifiable. Especially, on a car that I have to pay a subscription for remote start.

The old reputation of Kia’s are a thing of the past but like any other car brand, there can still be issues minor or major. I would test drive your 3 top choices and compare. Of the 3, kia has to be best warranty I would bet. The accord 4 uses cvt, Altima cvt, camry 8speed auto, k5 8speed auto or the new DCT trans on the GT K5 I currently have. 290hp with 311lbs of torque, it can outrun all the options I’ve listed with their most powerful engine options they have available. Just TH-cam K5 GT drag races and see for yourself. Overall, any option you choose is probably a good one but in terms of reliability all cars can have that question mark now. I would be concerned with any new car I get but I’m most comfortable with what I know.

The Honda would be about a half second quicker but will cost about $5k more.
Just a heads up, the 2023 Kia K5 EX is not available in AWD, the only trim with available AWD is the GT-Line.

K5 engine oil: 0w20 full synthetic oil
What kind of engine oil is required to maintain the k5?
All new cars take full synthetic oil but if that’s your concern, you need to be looking at older more affordable cars.

The display is tilted toward the driver more. I don’t like that since when a passenger is in the car they will me controlling the display 😢
I don’t spend much time touching the display in mine, when I’m a passenger I control the Nav and audio through my phone

the thin arms and small hands wit the narrow legs....this dude fits easily...not a big car tho....
