Lindsey, l love your Hobonichi Cousin pages. Your memory planning and journaling are the best. You are an inspiration of mine and definitely one of my favorite youtubers. Thanks for all you do!!!
wow I can't even imagine getting rid of the cousin after a few years. I bet you would appreciate what you were thinking about 20-30 years from now. You can see how you've grown and changed. Or realize what you were concerned about today is not important in the future. I wish I had kept a journal 20 years ago to reference now.
@@lindseyscribbles if you get rid of them you should probably donate them to a research library or something like that as material for future historians. The hardest to research is life of normal people and journals are very helpful
OMG! I didn't know hobonichi has this kind of planner where there's monthly, weekly, and daily! This is what I need for next year! It makes sense that it's not very thick because the paper they use is tomoe river paper.
I currently use a pocket rings, a Hobonichi Cousin, and a Hobonichi Weeks. I also have a B6 Mark’s Edit that I started the year in, but I moved to the Cousin once the schools shut down in the Spring and I needed to keep on top of my kids’ distance learning. I try to back plan in the Edit because I just have a thing about finishing notebooks that I started. 😬 Actually the same is true for the H weeks - I started in that for my EDC but then moved to pocket rings, but I still feel compelled to write everything down in the weeks too, lol
Watching a bunch of your videos this evening and you are my new favorite planner youtuber... it's all so inspiring!and I was also curious about what sign you are? Can't wait to add some of these ideas to my planner lineup
Love this! Thanks for sharing how you used these all together. Are you still using your A6 for work? That gave me the idea to use one for work next year so curious to see how that's going!
I❤️ my hobonichi day free, but I think next year I may just use the hobonichi notebooks I have; I prefer the monthly with a Sunday start, so I may get a separate insert for that. Loved the walk through of your system!
Question...how do you use the TURNING THE PAGE TO THE NEXT YEAR? In one video you mention it as you start a new year but you didn't know how you were going to use it. I haven't seen it since. Did I miss it? I was so curious...
Well, I have been in a standard TN for almost two years but I just switched to a weeks size TN, seems fairly new, so I haven’t found much inspiration in the size. I love the idea of downsizing and the weeks size is perfect for me but when I need inspiration, it’s just hobonichi weeks or the PP weeks. I do find some inspiration in the dot slim grid but it doesn’t help me to stay in the size. So right now it’s between standard and weeks size. My planner peace system is there and I can switch to any size to make it work but I think it’s my cover that I haven’t found peace in yet for me to stay in them long even though my VDS nomad has been it for two years.
@@lindseyscribbles yes! I love being able to write in the pages and indexing it for future reference. But I also love it for the custom of it. I can put a budget insert in if I need to or not. The idea of rings is nice but loose page just doesn’t work for me. 😅

I love this video!! I have some questions!! How many time does it take you to pre-plan your week with stickers and everything, you do it all at once? And this helped you to accomplish all your goals for the month? Thank you so much for this video!!
Preplanning in my hoboncihi I do once a week and that takes me about 20mins I sit down at the beginning of the month and pre plan my weeklies in my rings all at once then just add in things as needed. That process takes closer to 30-40 mins depending on how decorative I’m feeling!

This was really great, thanks for sharing Lindsey! I think eventually I'd like to use a system like this. I'm currently using a bullet journal and a random diary/journal for longer form memory writing plus a calendar for monthly stuff. I'm really excited though to move into my Hobonichi Cousin in 2021 so I can have the monthly, weekly and daily stuff all in one place! That'll be awesome :) once I'm comfortable with the Cousin I'm thinking of trying a ring planner system for the kind of "messy" purely functional task managing, but I've never used a ring planner so that'll be a learning experience for me. (your videos have helped a lot already.) and I'm considering a 5yr Hobonichi if I end up liking the Cousin and it wouldn't be too much work to keep up with it, not sure yet,we'll see.
@@lindseyscribbles haha yeah I'm trying to be realistic about what I could actually keep up with, especially because I hate quitting a planner midway through the year. I'm looking forward to see what you end up doing for 2021. Your no spend looks like it'll be fun (for us :P) because we'll get to see more DIY stickers in your planners! Good luck with it!
Could you send a link to the "chart" grid printable you used for your daily in the rings? I cant find them in PP Co OR in Simple and Trendy....thanks so much!!

I just got my first Hobonichi Cousin (avec) and can’t wait to start for 2021! Can’t wait to follow along with your IG on my new planner journey!
That’s exciting! Hope you love your cousin
Enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing 😃 I enjoy the sound of your voice and how you talk so calm 😍

It’s a great planner!
Love !! So cute! Would love to watch a video on your favorite sticker shops 💕
I pretty much stick to TheCoffeeMonsterzCo HappyDAYA Sterling Ink and Caffeine and Paper Co

I hate abandoning planners too 😂
Whoa that's gotta be a lot of work to keep filling out those journals. I feel ya on that I also hate leaving something partially filled in.
I love the Harry Potter themed section headings that you have in your rings! Might steal this idea for my Hobonichi :D
I love all things Harry Potter, do it!
I’ve been waiting for this! Yay! 😍

yes! off and on! I'm sort of playing with combining things together again, but I think it's just because of the holiday craziness

I had intended to use it to write out my quarterly goals, but I'll be honest it's currently blank! I'm doing some brain storming for next year still

Enjoyed the video. You have amazing organizational skills. Could you share where you got your dividers from.
Thanks! I actually made these myself using some 42lbs vellum I found on amazon and my silhouette!
love your systems!! how do you get your inserts from your ring planner to pull out w/o opening the rings??? super curious :)
I use scissors to slit the punches so they pop in and out easily!

They’re #143 from Peanutsplannerco I’ll try and add the link when I’m back from vacation / have my computer with me!
