The whole concept that the people you recruit will Actually be part of the settlement, gather and even Build the settlement itself is what Starbound should've had, this is great!
@@thefool8224 Oh no no no i know they do, but all that offers is a plack you put on the wall in a room, and they wander around the base (but never far from their plack), problem is that they first off, don't do a damn thing except for giving you Rent every now and then, and not a lot for that matter, and they don't help. Granted if you do quests for them you CAN recruit them to bring along with you onto missions, but they're really not that good, and without a mod (i think) you can't even change their gear, so their weapons are dogsh*t and their armor is more useless than wet toilet paper, atleast in Farworld they would be of actual use by gathering supplies for you.
I participated in the early beta and worked with them by finding bugs! though the project went forward, collage went relentless and I quite literally lost the opportunity to go back in because it's been so long it's awkward to go in again, also the pc is potato so I don't know if it can still support the newer versions :( but it was fun, mostly me finding weird bugs, such as killing the tutorial NPC and breaking the entire game (at the time easy mode made 'buddy' the tutorial guy immortal, so giving him a death pill broke the entire game because he died when it wasn't supposed to be possible)
Kaif and his inventory management will always be a source of "but why though?" for me. In a way, it's kinda funny. But then you see all the stuff he throws out of leaves behind because he refuses to empty stuff he doesn't need XD
Did you guys have to deal with an HTTP Error 502 when you were trying to launch the multiplayer session? My friend and I wanted to play but we ran into the aforementioned error.

from what i know starbound has a way to recruit NPC's, but this game seems to have improved on it massively.
