As always a joy to watch your Dirty Loops and now Jonah reactions. This one always put me in a good mood, stellar musicians, great song and a masterful solo by Steve. I saw Jonah doing it live 2 years ago here in Stockholm, it was an intimate solo concert with very much the same musicians as in this video apart from Steve of course 😁 He did a few DL songs too. Now before the EP arrives, why not do his ”Coffee Break”, with Richard Bona, the master, on base. It’s short and a real mood booster. Yes, the one DL responded to with ”Coffee Break Is Over” to tell Jonah it was enough with these solo projects 😂
Not only is Jonah Nilsson an epic singer and world-class pianist/keybordist, but his song writing skillz are insane the way the songs span so many genres.
Great seeing you guys reacting to Jonahs solo album. They do so much other great stuff when they are not "Dirty Looping" which is also worth diving into. Tobias is great on the bass too - so funky!
Hi! glad you reacted to a song from Jonah's solo album. See that you really appreciate and pay attention to the magnificent musicianship that is buried in the song. My favorite from his soloalbum is "Now or never" which shows Jonah's classic background where his great ability to arrange strings/orchestra becomes clear. (Hope you want to react to it even if there are no moving images)😀
The new Dirty Loops EP called Beagle has been on Bandcamp for a few days now and the 3 new songs are AMAZING!!!!! It will be released on other platforms Nov 1.
Vai can be so unique... beginning of that solo had contemporary jazz/funk vibes... and he just added some really different riff flavors in there before going shred mode...
I just love the heart, enthusiasm and knowledge you bring to your reactions! Thanks a bunch, also to Melli again, who’s sentiments about Dirty Loops I totally share as well! Their music has brought me to life too, at least a part of me I didn’t even know existed-! ☺️ This song, and I swear I say this about ALL of Dirty Loops’ and Jonah’s songs 🤣, is fire! Jonah said in interviews that this song was in the making for a while, like a lot of their songs, and that he felt it needed that guitar god solo from Steve Vai, which he ended up really loving. And Steve Vai himself said: “There’s a new breed of brilliant evolutionary musicians breaking onto the scene, and this track is the evidence. It takes pop to another dimension of groove, musically and overall bad-assery. It’s amazeballs.” (Quote from ‘the360mag’) I’m also blown away by Jonah’s vocals here and all of his sublime vocal background layerings 😱🤘😱 there’s a ton of them, and they add such a great effect I find. The churchy feel and look of the place this was filmed in, reminds me of Ericsson Hallen, a live music venue in Stockholm, where Dirty Loops also have filmed ‘Run Away’, ‘When The Time is Right’ and other things in the past (including a funny DLoops merch video, which got taken down from YT but still exists on one of their insta pages :) Going down that Jonah Nilsson rabbit hole, you guys MUST stop by his cover of ‘Bad’ 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and his ‘Coffee Break’, -two more examples of his absolute bad-assery 🔥😱💥🔥!!! Can’t wait for your next instalment of: “Dirty Loops!!” 🤣 And thanks for this one ⭐️🙏🫶
Hi guys, great choice! This song is full of tasteful details: the soft percussions, the bass interjections. I don't know if Kristian Kraftling played on the recording, but seen him live with Dirty Loops and he is severe and Tobias Grenholm is effin' amazing. the world: Jillian: JONAH!! Love it! BTW, anyone mentioned Do I Do by Jacob Collier ft Jonah? Just sayin..
So much talent!! I love Jonah and his musicianship with whatever group he’s playing with. It’s always a blast to watch. Great request today, and a super reaction. I’d say there was a bit of shenanigans going on there!! Looking forward to tomorrow. 🎶 Cyd
The next one has to be MJ's bad one. Jullian will like the second voices😊 the bass player you are seeing is Tobias Grenholm. fantastic musician. as jeremy was loving steve vai's solo and as a few days ago I didn't surprise him much with rammstein I'm going to make a request that I think you might not know about. You'll be left with your mouth open. For me, the best guitarist in this one. see you then big hug
Hey Dan, their new album dropped in its entirety in bandcamp the other day, and it’s lit!! No Steve Vai on there I think, but a choir and a ton of other instruments -simply amazing, blew my mind completely! 💥
It took a while for this one to grow on me and it still hasn't quite gotten there yet. Great musicianship. Just felt like he was trying a little too hard to tap into his MJ bag and it ends up being more irritating than entertaining for me. But again, great musicianship.
Not as good as with Dirty Loops, this is too nerdy, no edge or attitude! This is for men driving electric cars and wears a scarf! 😂 Jonah is awesome as always!

This old Granny was dancing in her chair. We need more, please. I will be following along. Great to see Quincy Jones! I love the MJ sound, too.

This thing went so Pat Metheny so quickly.
Let’s pray a collab is coming up. The world would implode.

“Coffee Break” - the funk and the jazz! 🔥☕️💥

You got to react to Jonah's version of MJ's "BAD", it's crazy good!
Fem minuter :)
JONAH!!! 😄😄😅😅😂😂

We get that. It’s so subjective and personal. All good though, no doubt there are plenty more bangers to make up for this, eh?!
