- I traded a used 3ton ac compressor for this 1957 Pontiac Star Chief "Catalina" 4dr. hardtop. Will this 347 v-8 start and run and use this car with saving? #pontiac #startup #willitrun #florida #carguys

Great find, good luck on getting her running
Thanks if you see me putting in a compressor for somebody these days, you know it's for a really good reason! I think this car has a ton of potential.
Super kool find! Congrats!
Thanks!
Nice find! This video should have a ton more views.
A friends family had one new from the dealer his mom worked at.
Very fast in the day. Had the wonder bar in the dash.
Would out run 57 Chevy power pack.
Those days were fun.
I haven't owned many 50's cars but I really like this car. Especially the color combo. Thanks for watching!
These Hydramatics were four speed-which is why I never lost a race in my old man's 57 Pontiac, same as this one except baby blue. The Pontiac 347 engine with 10:1 compression also helped. Also, the door panels were interchangeable with the 57 Chevys-same locations for vent crank, window crank and door handle; just different upholstery patterns.
thanks for the info you seem like you know you're stuff with these old cars. this car is coming back to my channel in the next few months and it will be back on the road.
What a beautiful car. Mine is very similar. I have a couple of pieces that you don't, and you have some that I don't, but very close. The interesting thing is, we're relatively close. Mine is at my shop in winter haven. I got her fired up, but not driving yet. Good luck on that beauty. Hope to see it around some day.
Well thank you my friend. When I was a kid I used to help my stepdad do a lot of commercial HVAC work in Winter Haven. I think there was a town called eagle lake that had a nursing home that I used to help him with. Good luck with your car as well. Thank you for watching my video.
I like Pontiac 57 , good video .
Thank you for watching!
That car ran in the Indianapolis 500
Seriously?
Sure did
@@FredSatterfield I see where a 1958 Pontiac Bonneville was used in 1958. Is that what you're talking about?
I believe that it was the Pace Car. It would have been the 1957 Bonneville (first year for the Bonneville) with the factory fuel injection. Most of the 497 made were convertibles.
I think it's a 'Chieftan' due to the three stars trim level.
it could be but the emblems say star chief....
