Great review, tks. Picked up a pair and wow, to my untrained ear they sound like great stand-mounts. In fact, if they were three times the size I doubt I would bat an eyelid. Take a bow Monitor.
The best small-ish bookshelf speaker I ever heard is the Aperion Novus N5B. The highs & mids help provide a large sound stage with surprisingly good bass from a 5.25" woofer. It's also the most innert cabinet I've ever personally encountered. It's built like a tank. A close second is the Emotiva B1+ which is another speaker that punches above its weight (with a ribbon tweeter that's non-fatiguing), great highs & mids complimented by surprisingly good bass (a 5.25" woofer) from a bookshelf speaker. Both of these speakers sound like floor speakers in small to medium-sized rooms.
hi, I have MA silvers 100 as my main L and R speakers and now I am looking for something small for the back channels. It should something really small because there is no space for MA silver 50. I found MA apex A10 and MA MASS Satellite. both of them will fit my space but I do not have a chance to see and listen to them. For me smaller is better, so I prefer mass satellite because of smaller size, but I am not sure that they are good enough because mass is entry level speaker. so I have doubts. Have you tried mass from MA and can you advice?
The MASS has a 3 1/2 inch driver, which won't be as capable of generating good bass as its bigger sibling. The Apex A 10 is the more bass capable of the two
The answer partly depends on what your hopes are for those rear speakers - just some fill, or playing plenty loud. The A 10 is as you would expect a bit more bass capable than the Mass

Great to hear it BJD, we're glad you like them
