I find the locks in Lockport very interesting it must be steampunk LOL I wonder if electric bikes are allowed I haven't seen one on all the videos. Can you camp anywhere you want?
I'm from Akron Ny and retired I"ve been looking for a ride JUST LIKE THIS!!! I hope this is a total video so a bunch of friends & myself can also do this.So if you guys stop filming it please tell me were to look for the finish of this GREAT TOUR----->LETS GO BUFFALO :) :)
I don't think people understand how important that the Erie Canal was back in the 18 hundreds. I want to ride the trail on my e-bike with one leg. The problem is if I run out of battery where do I plug it in it is called range anxiety LOL yes they have a name for it now. If you have any bike you would understand. I want to go to the trail all the way to New York City from Batavia New York
Thanks for the video, John! Any thoughts on which portion of the trail was "nicest"? (Best scenery etc.) I'm trying to decide if to do the western or eastern half. Cheers!
Regina Solaris I rode a Trek hybrid (which I found perfect for the mixed terrain). The other dudes were riding road bikes and all popped tires on the trails.
Wonderful video, we are going to ride our road bikes from Fort Erie to Albany and my concern whether our 25mm tires and road bike is appropriate. Is the road surface ok for doing this on a road bike? Thanks.
Sounds great! Good luck. Honestly, my friends on road bikes popped a lot of tires, but they have since done more work on the trail. I used a hybrid and recommend it.
Nice video, I enjoyed riding along! Nicely edited.
I really enjoyed this video. Very cool how you filmed and edited the individual storytelling. Great job!
Looks like it was a great adventure! Thank you for sharing your journey!

Thank you! Nicest part was near Uticah, but was also the worst part only a few miles before and after lol. Would have to think about that further...
C'mon. Details needed, wanted, like how many miles average per day did you ride? I need to plan my ride, probably solo.
Lughnerson we biked about 50mi a day except for the last day where we biked 120miles it so we could get home after Tim crashed.
You guys rock! I hope to do it this fall (2021) assuming the pandemic winds down. Very inspiring!
Nice video. Could have done with being a lot longer so I could have really travelled along
I'm starting this ride the 30th of may. Its 390 miles tho.
Great video..I'm just wondering which bike you guys were riding? Thanks.

@@liketheastronaut Good to see, I picked up a Trek Verve 2 last summer and am looking to get back out there.
Nice video. Been thinking of the same trip, but the opposite direction.
Have fun!
