Is that loader an old BM Volvo?

@@PeterMackett It was a Weatherill 42H from about 1962, with a 6 cylinder Ford, probably a Brockhouse torque converter/power shift shuttle and a Fordson Major drive axle. Although not very big, a surprisingly fast loader.

This was interesting, I grew up in the village in the mid to late 70's, the pit was still in operation then and some of the washing plant is familiar to me although by that time the trucks were mostly AEC from the early 70's Not much left now except 2 large holes, all the wash plant etc long gone. Any more footage?

My Father sold out to Bradwell Aggregates (Carter and Ward owned by that time) not long after this film was recorded due to running out of land to dig. C&W owned other pits near by (Including The Warren) and transported dug material to White House Pit by Tractor/Dump trailers. Bradwell Aggregates tippers had a mainly green livery and ran several ergo AECs during the 70s. I visited the pit towards the end of the 70s and the red Smith dragline was still there, mostly unused, and the plant had not changed much.
