20 odd years ago, my daughter started to sponsor a "Dawn Child"
Dawn Children were Aids orphans who were all alone.
With help from my daughter, they put him through school and college.
She also kept up a correspondence with him and bought him clothes, toys (and tech, as he grew older)
He has since graduated and has got a secure job. It's really satisfying to see this young man standing firmly on his own 2 feet.
10 years ago, I started to helping her as text books and equipment are very expensive.
Although we're all in UK now, we still keep in touch with him.
About 3 years ago, he told us he had a girlfriend, who was also an Aids Orphan.
Today, we have sent him some money for Lobola. I am really excited for this Wedding.
But I wanted to see what a traditional Sesotho wedding would look like.
Your video is just what I needed as I sit here in a freezing cold January in England.
Your beautiful warm celebration makes me miss South Africa more than ever.
With your help, I will be with them in spirit and understanding of their union.
