Thanks for the vid. This question might not be on topic but no harm in asking. What are your thoughts re the hamilton Ventura? Do you ever see any with the original movement?
I wouldn't lie, I get a lot of hate, working as watch dealer in Europe, calling 90s early 2000s watches even Neo-Vintage 😅 Still I think it's a right name and I also see that people see them as great alternative to buy cheaper models from well known brands offering great value for the money 😄 I'm myself a big fan of Maurice Lacroix, Ebel and Chronoswiss of that era - they offer great designs and you can get them in quite good money as you've said 😄 Still I hope that smaller brands, like Baum and Mercier that you've showed can get more appropriciation from the collectors in the future 😄
@@grzesiucustoms1952 factors are hitting this vintage/neo-vintage lesser known market, lack of curiosity and dealers limiting their inventory to a few brands and models, therefore no one gets to see what else was made.
@@timemerchantsmtlYep, it's true, that's why I always like to have some of this pieces in my store as they always tend to go quick and are quite easy to enquire for reasonable prices and mostly in quite good condition 😄 Plus as you've also said in the video, parts to this watches are mostly accesable as they are using most likely ETA/Ronda/Zenith movements that have a great service support 😄
I see watches that I know pretty well here 😀 Very good video as always Cris! It's a very nostalgic era for me ❤
Bravo
Very informative video. Don Johnson’s character in Miami Vice in the 80s wore an Ebel watch with an El Primero movement.
@@Greektourguide exactly! A customer of mine has that exact watch.
Happy New Year, alll the best.

Rolex Zenith Daytona do not operate at 4hz, Rolex modified the movement to operate at 3hz
