    In this tutorial, we delve deep into resolving one of the most common challenges faced during filming: flickering in footage. Recognizing the criticality of the issue, especially when the perfect shot is marred by unwanted flickering due to factors like incorrect lighting or shutter speed, we navigate through effective methods to tackle this problem using DaVinci Resolve. Beginning with techniques feasible even in the free version of DaVinci Resolve, we explore methods involving duplicating clips, adjusting opacity, and addressing potential challenges like ghosting. Further enhancing our approach, we introduce a sophisticated deflicker effect within DaVinci Resolve, demonstrating how it can efficiently and effectively eliminate flicker, even in complex scenarios. Throughout the tutorial, practical demonstrations and insights provide a comprehensive guide for filmmakers seeking to salvage their projects from the clutches of unwanted flickering, ensuring pristine, high-quality footage. Join us as we demystify flicker removal, empowering you with tools and techniques to elevate your filmmaking endeavors.

    Thank you for this. Thankfully the character was mostly in a somewhat dark space and moving slowly so the ghosting isn't really at all noticeable. I even doubled over footage twice and it still helped with flicker even more.

    Did you compare this deflicker in Davinci Resolve with Digital Anarchy Flicker Free plugin?

    • @DominicKrupp
      @DominicKrupp  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did not. I work with a lot of different people and we're always sharing Resolve projects and having different people edit on them so we try to use little to no 3rd party plugins within our workflows

    Noob question: is what you just did in this video the same thing as other commenters below when they are referencing the "deflicker effect"? Does DVR have an anti-flicker function built-in?

    • @DominicKrupp
      @DominicKrupp  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Resolve does have a flicker removing effect built into the studio version. The effect is called “deflicker”. I hope this helps!

    hello :) How do you move your items "frame by frame" on the timeline ? i mean, when i slide my rush, it's just slide and i dont know how many frame did i move :( thank's a lot

    • @DominicKrupp
      @DominicKrupp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you zoom in close enough on the timeline and start sliding a clip over you’ll see a little tooltip appear next to the cursor indicating how many frames you’re offsetting the clip. Let me know if that helps!

    Is there a way in davinci to resolve this ghosting thats occuring from changing the opacity to 50?

    • @DominicKrupp
      @DominicKrupp  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately not. That is the downside with the first technique. I would only use that one if your scene and subject are relatively static

  • @Orangeshark80

    Does it work for rolling lines in the footage as well?

    • @DominicKrupp
      @DominicKrupp  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe the Resolve effect does. Using the basic method of duplicating the clip has pretty poor results with the rolling lines in my experience.

    you kidding. DaVinci Resolve is for editing video, not photo. You edit not moving objects. Are you serious ?
