Me and my friend won a competition by just clampping every stick together in 5 big "logs" with the sticks standing sidewards(like you did in the beggining), and topping it with more sticks creating a base for the weight

Why are the top and bottom beams sticking past the triangle tops and bottoms? Why are they sticking out past the envelope? Do you know if this was on purpose?

This exact bridge is 126 popsicle sticks. Shortening the bridge will require fewer sticks, while lengthening it will require more. To reduce the number of popsicle sticks used, it is recommended to sandwich each side only once, rather than twice @2:03.

It depends from weakest to strongest
1) hot glue (weakest)
2) Elmer’s glue (middle) but takes a lot longer
3) wood glue (strongest) but again takes a while
