what about motion blur settings? putting a higher value helps?
It is up to your liking but if you want smoother edits you can make the shutter angle around 400 it helps a lot

I'm super new to after effect, so how do you get those s_defocus and other effects? Do you have to download them?
you have to download the sapphire plugin :) and then the effects will appear when you search them in effects and presets
