Spooky opening shot - we were in the exact same spot a week ago! Took GWR from Reading to Bristol and delays both ways, never found out why.

What a beautiful trip. I assume after spending the night there you took the train to London
With that scenery you can't have too much of a good thing!

Hi mate, thanks for watching - appreciated. Unfortunately not i had to head back to London on the Night Riviera, which is another experience.

As a matter of policy GWR provides no refreshments on any service from either Cardiff or Gloucester to Penzance. This applies to both standard and first class. It is unacceptable.
I enjoyed your video . Visually it was excellent. I especially liked the shots of Bristol Temple Meads.

Has Grotty Western Railways improved the seats yet?

I understand that you have had some bad experiences with the Class 800/Class 802 IETs because of delays and of course the seats that are not as comfortable as what GWR used to have the Class 43 HSTs that were lot better and the seats were so comfortable. If only GWR would of kept some of the iconic HSTs.

Thank you very much for this interesting video. It was a great shame about the facility near Exeter, and also the change of unit at Plymouth, I wonder if you had considered your journey by utilising one of the remaining HST services from Cardiff to Penzance ? Sadly the Cardiff to Penzance service, whether operated by HST or IET sets, has never😊 offered any on board catering. That in itself is ridiculous for such a long journey, and how odd that the trolley service on your 9- car unit from Plymouth had a trolley service, but didn’t stop to offer you anything ! The GWR IETs, work fine mechanically, but the seats are diabolical especially in Standard Class. I also find the woman making the onboard announcements sounds permanently out breath, and extremely irritating ! The journey was great, but the IETs really aren’t good enough.

So, whats the point of having a full trolly & not selling any of it's contents ??

Meant to be for first class only. But I agree, it's a bit ridiculous to carry the trolly through a packed standard couch and not even sell any refreshments nevermind give anything away as apologies for their inconvenienced journey.
