When I saw the caption, I knew I had to see it. I have a '71 Duster that I am currently turning into a drag car. 58,000 miles. It has been a drag racing car for many years, ran at National Trails Raceway in Columbus Ohio. I took it a step further by having it "back halfed" by a professional shop and the rear end narrowed. It has 12 and a half inch slicks inside the fenderwells, and a six point roll cage. Two sets of center sections for the rear end gears, so I can change them depending on conditions. Still have to assemble the engine, and finish details on and under the car, brake and fuel lines. Strictly a track car. The neighbors are Not going to appreciate it as much as I will. MOPAR OR NO CAR!
This lovely lady in the commercial IS my wonderful mother ! She's STILL beautiful for her age too, Ive been waiting YEARS to find this commercial and it's wonderful to see. A happy, safe new year to all.
If you lived in the midwest, those torsion bars that they talked about would rust out from the frame in less than a decade, rendering the entire car useless. But if you were lucky to have not had this happen, that slant 6 went for a million miles!
@That_AMC_Guy,. Don't let that Worry you. The 225 six cylinder, name by MOPAR guys, "The Leaning Tower Of POWER." was and still is a great engine. I know a guy, Gordie Stevens who ran at NE Ohio and NW Pennsylvania drag strips with his '75 Dodge Sport, looks like a Duster. He wins constantly with his car named "HEAT SEEKER.". I do Not want to run against him. Great guy, fast car.
@@dalehood1846 I had one years ago in a Swinger Dart. Most useless, pile of garbage engine I've ever encountered. First one put the #2 rod through the block, second one was just as gutless even after trying to hop it up. I was happy to finally unload that one. Loved the car, absolutely hated the engine. The 232 in my Gremlin is like a rocket ship in comparison.
Al Bundy approves 👌👌
😂
Yep
