In the mid 80’s I discovered the mighty Zeppelin! I had LZ 2 and was blown away, few weeks later and bought 3 , loved the Immigrant Song………I was expecting another LZ 2 but I was wrong, it took me a few weeks but it grew on me and I started to really enjoying the different songs, Gallows Pole is one of my favorite!!
I've been a huge fan of Zeppelin my whole life I even have a ton of the bootlegs. I discovered zep 3 in my late teen years and I did like it it took a few more years to fully love and appreciate it. Now it's one of my favorite albums from them.
Well, one thing is it surprised me. Side one rocks, but side two is acoustic. It's alright, i do like it though. I would recommend it for those who enjoy playing guitar.
I think the cover to III is very cool and beautiful. Thanks for sharing you Led Zeppelin III bootleg, and the vintage “blast from the past” review/article.
If my house was on fire, but I had time to run back in and save one led Zeppelin album, it would be the third. It simply has all the ingredients and influences that made the band what is was. It goes from hard rock to acoustic folk and back, and still manages to showcase the groups roots in the blues and features some of their best lyrics. I love it. As for the critics, well what can you say? It seems, after hearing the review above and re reading a number over the years from the American press, that the group were despised by the media. No wonder Led Zeppelin were so distrustful of them all their career. I would finish by saying that anyone who has not heard the band or just dismisses them as all crash, bang and wallop, then just play them this beautiful album. It's one of the bands best.
When I was 13, in 1971, a friend played his sister's Zep III album for me. It was the 1st time I'd ever heard Led Zeppelin. I've been a "Led Hed" ever since.
@@jackn4853 No, they aren't. That's cute that you've been around. I'm 47 and fan since 1991. I also have arms and legs. This songs are absolutely mind-blowing, powerful, masterful, pioneering classics. It's so sad and heartbreaking those songs were never performed live and weren't documented in both audio and film recordings in doing so. Some people are very closed minded and just want their beer and hot dogs and hear, "Whole Lotta Love", for the 50 millionth time. Sorry you never expanded your repertoire of interest in your entire life.
For me, Gallow's has always been a favorite. I love the way the song begins a bit mellow and slowly builds tension, speeding up as the bass guitar comes in. I love the story in the song. Zeppelin 3 has always been one of my favorite albums of theirs. They were growing and trying new things, instead of doing the same ideas over and over.
Wow, this brings back some vivid memories during my Army Days! Thank you for featuring this. I was stationed in Taipei Taiwan in the early 1970's and bought a number of those Chinese bootleg LP's. The vinyl quality was modest the sound subpar but not bad. Due to the vinyl quality the sound degraded after a few dozen plays. The sleeves were reasonable quality paper under good clear plastic. I am sure I had a Chinese copy of Led Zeppelin lll and that copy seems very familiar. I do recall the blue label and UNION. It means something to me to view that once more.
Interesting review... A lot of folks didn't get Zeppelin back in the day. A lot were feeling the aftershocks of The Beatles breakup. As it's once stated, Critics hate them, fans loved them". Each Zeppelin album to me sounded much different than the other and even Bonham stated that fact. Such incredible chemistry and mystique.
How can people not like zepplin?, i love every song they gave us and thats what drew me to them..few bands out there that i can say have no bad songs there all like a greatest hit album to me then and still to this day
Very cool! Technically this is a pirate copy, not a bootleg. Bootlegs contain material that is commercially or officially unavailable. An illegal copy of an official release is a pirate copy.
That's true. I got in the habit of calling it a bootleg when I was younger. I was under the impression that these things were illegal in communist countries so they would be brought into the countries illegally, so I thought of them as "bootlegs" in that sense.
Indeed so, I have bulgarian copies of Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and so on. That’s what was available on our markets. The good thing is, because of that we had the chance to discover REAL rock music. No benefit for their pockets, great benefit for us to have such chances! Originals were Never available in our stores…
Led Zep 3 is a masterpiece and I've been listening to it since 15 years old.Now 68 and I thought it was brilliant from that first listen ! This review is typical of a lot that came out about LZ in the early 1970's.I'm not sure what they were thinking to not see the class and quality of these wonderful arrangements !
Cool Chinese bootleg of my favorite Zep (along with Physical Graffiti)! Thanks for showing it to us in spite of its fragile condition. Great channel. This critic you mention must have studied under the so-called "Dean of Rock Critics", Robert Cristgau...another mediocre mind that hated the mighty Led Zeppelin and who drooled over two-chord wonders like the Sex Pistols... Like Zappa once said: "Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read..." ;)
First Zep album I bought, my fave and Tangerine is my all time favorite Zep song, but Gallows Pole is up there too. So many critics back then used to disparage what was obviously popular and well done just really to attract attention to themselves. Remember most music critics are just frustrated wanna be, has been or never was musicians.
I bought Zep III when it first came out, heard Immigrant Song at the record shop and was sold. The rest of the album took a while to come to terms with being used to Zep I and II, but eventually came to enjoy it and still do. Gallows Pole is always hard for me to listen to as I found it so very sad.
Hi - just came across your video on Led Zeppelin. WOW - that article was a load of crap wasnt it lolol. Clearly the author had an issue that day, maybe got out of bed on the wrong side. I'm a massive Led Zep fan - saw them live in 1971, one of the best shows I ever saw. Led Zep III is probably my favourite Led Zep album. I'm a bit of an English folky from the 60's, so when I heard the album and the introduction of the acoustic stuff I thought it was just great. Jimmy Page - one of the great guitarist of my generation, and his acoustic playing was just phenomenal. Anyway - thats me. Led Zeppelin -one of the great bands. Cya Doug (from down under)
I have to admit that the first Zeppelin song I heard and the song that made me a lifelong fan was indeed Whole Lotta Love as the critic claims. I remember a number of friends and numerous music teachers who had the same opinions on Zeppelin in the early 70s. I ignored them and ended up playing many Zeppelin songs in various garage and club bands when I was young .
Yes. I ordered it from my tiny record store in my tiny Illinois town after reading about this missing song that I had never heard back in 71-72. When I played it I almost fell over. I felt I had come across something so secret that nobody had ever heard before. Well, back then nobody I knew did so.... I just wish I had that 45 rpm still. ❤
I’m a huge fan of Zep’s 1st 3 albums. III is my 2nd favorite of all thier albums. Zep I is #1 Parts of Tangerine is a pre cursor to the leads on Stairway to Heaven. Love IV and Physical but not a fan of Presence. That album sounds like a mess. Houses is decent but rank it 6th. In Through the Outdoor would be 7th. Presence doesn’t get a ranking
I think I was 15 when I bought this, in fact it was the very first album I bought and this had been out for around a year. A friend was Led Zeppelin mad, and had written the name all over his Push Bike, this is where I first heard it at his house. This is where my love for rock and prog started, the sound was so captivating, just heard nothing like it before. The person the wrote that review, was just a complete idiot, trashing all those albums, obviously didn’t understand music!
As time went on, III went from my top 6 Zep Album to top 3 now. III is so ahead of.... whatever it is. It took me a while to fully appreciate their vision for III. It just makes me appreciate this band more and more(typing this while kneeling) their monstrous talents and their creativity. It give me anxiety to rank their albums or songs, so no no we dont do that, absolutely love them all !
Wow something is only worth what someone will pay for it. That is really kool. I had a zeppelin Bootleg in Highschool and a friend offered me 500. Bucks I paid 25 for it. Later on My parents threw it out when I moved out and really pissed me off.
Released March 1976 in Taiwan, according to discogs. As it is a bootleg, it is blocked from sale, so no prior prices. Thanks for sharing. I have a Pink Floyd Italian tour poster that I picked up in the late 80s, that has the same sentimental value.
What exactly qualifies someone as a music critic,it sure doesn’t have anything to do with taste. The fact that music is subjective disqualifies anyone from be a professional “critic “.
Thanks for your videos. ..The first time I heard LZ 3, I was enthralled by Friends, Celebration Day and Since I've Been Loving You. I have watched the online guitar demonstrations of Celebration Day, and to this day I have not heard a rhythm or chord structure quite like it, and the vocal melody and cadence is like a school of fish swimming across the grain, then the lead guitar kicks in on Celebration and brings the listener back to a classic rock and roll feel. The only disappointment for me on LZ 3 was the last song. "Hats Off" didn't measure up to the other classic (last songs on their other LP's), such as How Many More Times, Bring it on Home, Levee, The Ocean and Sick Again , which are all classics.
Led Zeppelin= Best Rock Band Ever!!!! I don't trust anybody who does not like them or say they Suck. Zeppelin 3 is up there with my favorites. Funny how the "Critics" panned it back then!!! This album was put out the year I was born.
Great Video - I have lived in Denver a long time and I used to buy A LOT of music at places like Wax Trax, Angelo's, Twist and Shout, and Cheapo Discs. Great Find!
I have to admit in my heyday of coming into my musical tastes late 70s early 80s I was so burnt on Stairway & Whole Lotta Love and turned me away from Zep, I’m one of the 3 people that liked Presence probably because I had the 8 track on heaven rotation in my car lol and Led Zeppelin, Houses of the Holy and again believe it or not In through the Out Door, only in recent years III has grown on me, Great stuff
I think the 3rd album has an odd set of songs for a record but I never thought they were bad songs. Just different from what they put out from the first 2 albums . I think it also shows how diverse they were and what would have been had Bonham not died . I love LED Zeppelin and I also have some albums from Page and Jones before they were in led Zeppelin and were on session recordings .NOW " GET THE LED OUT ! 🎸🥁
It's the atmosphere, it's the felling that it creates, it's the mysterious Ora ,it's the kinda spooky sound ,but yet happy ,it's the drow to our northern European ancestors, people that don't like Zeppelin don't understand that Zeppelin 3 is what sealed the deal for me
The Big 3 for me were Black Sabbath. Led Zeppelin and yes Kiss in the mid to late 70's. Sent me on my way to Heavier Bands in the NWOBHM era to bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Metallica And then on to Black and Death Metal. Led Zeppelin were that band that lead me on my way and I thank them for it. I like LZ3 but LZ2 is my favorite LZ album. Hits like a ton of bricks.
I had a couple of these Chinese bootlegs. I'm not sure if I had Led Zeppelin III, but I remember having a Janis Joplin album (can't remember which) and yes it also played badly. Examining the vinyl itself, it had circular little pits all over the surface
The, "IV", was I guess mistranslation. Get some photo copies made of the front and back cover... 1970, huh? So...when did YOU buy it? What shape was it in when you bought it?
After seeing the title to this review I was interested to see it because I thought you would explain the movie, but no. Do you even know about what happens when you put that cardboard disc on a turntable? Individual images will spin in and out of view like a movie it is really amazing to watch. The sleeve from in through the out door is a watercolor image. If you take a wet brush and wipe it over the image colors will appear! But look more into who designed III and try watching it, I used to get a crowd of people watching my turntable, eventually I bought a second cheap turntable just to spin it on.
Gallows pole is one of my favorite song, better than anything that the beatles made, love zeppelin 3 and hats off to roy harper is an absolute gem . I consider led zeppelin the most underrated band in history.
In the 70s I bought every Zeppelin 8 track tape with the money I made from my first job washing dishes after school for $2.35 per hour. I was absolutely blown away by LZ3. To this day it is still my favorite Zeppelin album. Everybody is always talking about LZ4 and Physical Graffiti being the greatest. I disagree! And Gallows Pole as a song is a masterpiece!
The majority of the critics hated Led Zeppelin or at least had very little good to say about them. I have been a fan since 1969. As for Gallows Pole - I like the song. Especially when JPJ and Bonzo do the laughing part. It speeds up and gets crazy. I like crazy. I like the whole album. Luckily the fans didn’t care what the critics said. I loved their album covers. They were different and fun and unlike any thing we had seen at that point.
I’ve got a copy of Led Zeppelin III like yours, except I think mine is from Portugal or somewhere like that. And if I remember correctly, it doesn’t sound very good.
The so-called critic who typed that hit piece is actually what people have thrown away into a pile of unused items. Specifically, the trash, so Tommy James would be a step up for this “writer’s” comparative status. What’s he got against “Inna Gadda Da Vida”? And coming from a critic whom no one has ever heard of. You’ll notice I ended my last sentence there with a preposition. Which is in theory bad English. But by what grammarian’s critique? Glad you asked. Coz there’s an analogy here which will bring us full circle right back to this moronic Zeppelin basher. And I was classically trained in the ‘60s, so I wouldn’t doubt the critic would find “allegro” to be a racy social statement; “staccato”, a radical act; and indeed, “forte”, an act of war. This writer-wannabe may *seem* to bear verisimilitude to the untrained ear. Because historical “journalism”. But not in mine own ears. In other words, the smear piece is ancient so we may presume “perhaps the critic was a scholar”. Perhaps the average reader is tempted to esteem a whiner as sensible. But the key is seeing through the mainstream “genius” authorities’ opinions. They want to warn conventional minds that it’s not what Perry Como would do. God forbid. Let’s remember there was a vendetta against the INDY group called “Led”. Coz they broke rules. Peter Grant invented the very idea of music talent not being abused by the label. Remember that time when that famous producer had no clue his newly signed act would catch on? Which one, you ask? About all of them, that’s who. Emerson Lake and Palmer’s first album was insulted by critics. As were many magnificent groups and composers. Beethoven himself not excluded. Atlantic wanted a single from Zep. Because what else? No one puts an album out without a single. Well, Zeppelin broke that rule, too. The industry wanted Led Zeppelin to fail. But word of mouth prevailed. It wasn’t that the Beatles were so much better, despite this writer’s implication. It’s that the Beatles played ball regarding singles. Hundreds of years ago, John Dryden - all by himself - decreed the rule that a preposition cannot end our sentences. HE was not only dismissed by his own peers, but a contemporary grammarian far more reputed than he made light of Dryden’s decree with a sentence that ended with a preposition. Now guess how published grammarians became a practice! In 2005, I read a history of just that in a Merriam Webster publication. With the printing press brand new in the 16th Century, newspapers became a thing. As did op-eds. In these OPINION submissions to newspapers, a self-appointed know-all would write an article complaining about the English of a given journalist. And would save his own words by clipping the indoctrination he submitted from the paper after it was in circulation. Writers began submitting their opinion pieces to book publishers, using their archived grumbling to influence them. And regardless of right or wrong, credible or not, eventually the grammarians began quoting one another’s published works. It wasn’t that they were educated. But rather had extant writing. Merriam Webster confided that despite the popularity of Dryden’s rules, there is no authority for the preposition decree. And, in fact, one cannot avoid ending certain sentences with a preposition. Dryden was a Latin playwright. The Latin lingo doesn’t support ending a sentence with a preposition, per MW. I’ll admit, it sounds sexier to utter “for whom the bell tolls” than “whom the bell tolls for”. But either way is acceptable to anyone who be not snobs, sanctimonious. The moral of the story is : I’ve already forgotten the Zep critic’s name. And my copy of Zeppelin III only stopped getting play 20 years after internet was invented. I listened to “Out On The Tiles” on TH-cam just 2 days ago. I’ve bootlegged members of Led Zeppelin’s solo gigs. In stereo. Using 70μs Type IV Metal cassette masters. And still have the recordings AND ticket stubs now nearly 40 years later in some cases. They’ll be uploaded on internet next year, still audibly immaculate and well-stored.
Even back then the Chinese were the Masters of Imitation and never Masters of Innovation . Back then the record reviews were doing old school ‘clickbait’ so you would read the article 😂
A rock critic's review is only one person's opinion and no more or less valid than anyone else's. I've always loved Led Zeppelin three and how different it was from the first two albums with it's more folk/acoustic style.
Whoever wrote that review of Led Zeppelin III was absolutely correct. Led Zeppelin wasn't terrible, but they were incredibly overrated (especially Jimmy Page), and were the product of massive hype. It's very fitting that Led Zeppelin's publishing company was named Superhype; that name describes them perfectly !
Not one to compare Zep to the Beatles...The Beatles are still supreme.....But like the Beatles, Jimmy Page was adamant about not repeating himself, and III was cooked up in a more relaxed and insightful environment. The band was beginning to stretch out with more interesting instrumentation and arrangements which helped to set themselves apart from their heavy metal contemporaries. Like the Beatles, they also knew when to quit, which helped solidify their status.
Zep III is their most acoustic album so I heard/read his review thinking, is he talking about Zep III, or did he just write a review without listening to it? Jackhammer rhythms? BTW, I too long Gallows Pole.
Led Zeppelin are the second greatest recording and live act in the world behind, Michael Jackson, and one ahead of QUEEN. In my mind, The Beatles, are fourth and the fifth best group? FREE.
First off, stop storing the record in the sleeve, that has a lot to do with it falling apart! 2nd thing is, reviews like that one, are what made Zeppelin great . They went up against the system in many way and won the battle ! Led Zeppelin forever...........
3 is kinda of a mishmash really. Led Zeppelin came off of 2 hardrocking heavy albums and went more folksie for sure. My opinion/review after listening to this album for about the same amount of time as yourself: The entire sounds like it is meant to sound like outtakes. Not necc. the quality of the songs but tye flow. It sounds like they are recording a bit in realtime in the studio. “Immigrant Song” does a have a certain vibe to it and Robert is still in great voice at this point (2 yrs later his voice was damaged). He never quite sounded like this again. But as with most the album this song was recorded on the Rolling Stone Mobile Unit and at Olympic. Both not known for stellar sound. This lo-fi sound gives this song some mystery but also makes one wonder how it could have sounded. It does remain, for better or for worse, a precursor to other viking metal gods of the mid 70s up to the 80s. Very influencial. There are weak songs. “Friends” is pretty weak. It does have a jaunty synchopation that is catchy and that drone of “Kashmire” (one of LZs greatest songs) Almost like a blueprint that is driving behind the latter song. “Celebration Day” is a good driver. And the middle 8 that goes all hippy is pretty cool. “Since Ive Been Loving You” is a straight up blues song. Which is kind of good to hear because Zepp “borrowed” from the blues so much and twisted songs into heavy rockers that this sounds honest. “Out On The Tiles”, pretty disposable. Im with you on Gallows, great reinterpretation that skiffles along with Robert giving his best pleading folk blues. I would also agree with the critic that “Tangerine” is probably the best song. I mean this is a more acoustic based song so the best should be more so. And once again Page shines on the middle 8 with interesting lead sounds and mixes things up nicely with a pedal steel (?). Not a great song, but great for this album. “That’s The Way” is my personal favorite. Well written lyrically and reminds my of the sentiment of “Going To California”. Beautiful song. Then we go back to some porch blues with Bron-Y-Aur. Its ok. Kinda fun. “Hats Off”? Meh completely disposable. In the catalogue I would give this album a 7.5 on a 10 scale. Ends up near the bottom for me. But I am a HOTH guy, so there is that and I the “Presence” is totally underrated. Cool Chinese boot, ha. They really went all out on the quality didn’t they? lol
Since I've been loving you and immigrant song. The rest of III I had to learn to like. But, in my opinion, the crap they took for III set the stage for the fourth album, cementing them in godlike form. The ONLY song I hate of theirs is D'yr M'kr. Robert sounds sick to me. Bonham hated it too. 8th grade, switched schools, culture shock, bad time when that song came out. III has grown on me over the years simply because I needed hard angry rock back then and not so much now. Still like it, but don't need it to express anger for years of abuse.
Well first stop putting the record in the sleeve get a poly sleeve for it for the record. Get another sleeve just for the cover so you do not need to handle it any more. That is a Taiwan pressing from 1976 you can look it up on Discogs they do not have price for it as it is a unofficial pressing, but they go for $30 to $100 based on condition. I have a similar Russian pressing which is very cool I should feature it in a video sometime. After that headline, I do not need to hear more from this clueless "journalist" . But go on .... Love Gallows Pole !!!! We all know the Beatles broke up because they knew it was over after hearing Led Zeppelin, they could not compete. 😉 LZIII showed they we not just a heavy blues band they were light and dark, tight but loose. I can not rank Led Zeppelin albums it is too hard for me to do. But LZIII is a go to for a listen many times for me. The press loved to hate on the band because it sold papers !!!!
Led Zeppelin was not "a creature of the pr men", far from it.. That comment is at best simply ignorant, at worst an outright lie. LZ were never promoted by "top of the pops" which almost every British band before them. I believe no singles were released in Europe. A few were released in the US against their will. The band simply gained popularity by relentless touring and by word of mouth.
Led Zeppelin 3 to me is just the immigrant song and since I’ve been loving you. Kudos to the band for showing the softer side of their repertoire after two heavy rock staples such as LZ 1 and 2. It’s no wonder why 4 was such a heavy riffed album. i believe the band themselves, or rather Jimmy, went with a different approach cos he saw the poor reviews (as seen here) that LZ3 had in comparison to the first two which pushed 3 to go to number 1 on the charts on the strength of the first two LPs. Ironically Led Zeppelin IV only reached number 2 on the billboard charts which is strange given the instant future classics it housed- black dog, rock and roll and the iconic stairway to heaven. I think a lot of the fans were kind of put off by 3 that they didn’t take a chance on 4 and just waited. All in all LZ3 is a good album with good songs that will appeal to many fans of acoustic folk rock as well as those who still need a shot of blues.
I'm always confused by people that don't love Led Zeppelin.
Nah it says something about their makeup as a human.
The condescending Dallas cowboys type attitude of some fans of zep

Gallows Pole is one their best songs ever, ever!
My favorite lp after all these years
First Zep album I bought, my fave and Tangerine is my all time favorite Zep song, but Gallows Pole is up there too.
The B side of "Immigrant Song" on the Japanese import was "Hey Hey What can I do?" 🙂
Zep I is #1
Parts of Tangerine is a pre cursor to the leads on Stairway to Heaven.
Well, if this is Led Zeppelin 4 to them, then what is LZ 3 to them?!
Thank you for the additional info!
Led Zeppelin has at no point in time been overrated.
It wouldn’t be possible to overrate LZ.
"Hats Off" didn't measure up to the other classic (last songs on their other LP's), such as How Many More Times,
Bring it on Home, Levee, The Ocean and Sick Again , which are all classics.
Led Zeppelin= Best Rock Band Ever!!!! I don't trust anybody who does not like them or say they Suck. Zeppelin 3 is up there with my favorites. Funny how the "Critics" panned it back then!!! This album was put out the year I was born.
Let's be honest The BEATLES and LED ZEPPELIN are the two greatest bands this country has produced.
I love Led Zeppelin and iron butterfly and Tommy James.
Probably my favorite Zeppelin album. The acoustic songs Tangerine,Thats the way, and Gallows pole very hard to beat.
Out On The Tiles is absolutely incredible.
It's the atmosphere, it's the felling that it creates, it's the mysterious Ora ,it's the kinda spooky sound ,but yet happy ,it's the drow to our northern European ancestors, people that don't like Zeppelin don't understand that Zeppelin 3 is what sealed the deal for me
My favorite Zeppelin song is hot dog
Very interesting and intriguing piece. Excellent content! I guess China has been knocking off everything forever.
Yeah, that thing is really cool! I don’t keep any records is frames, but I think that one deserves to be framed-up right away.
The critics had the right to dislike the music, but to deny the musicality of the band was unconscionable.
To be fair the Beatles got bad reviews when they came out in the U.S. The press hated groups that didn't rely on the press to be successful.
Very cool
Zeppelin 3 would be an all out masterpiece if Hats off to Roy Harper was dropped and Hey Hey What Can i do was added.
I wonder if more people these days are listening to Led Zepplin III or reading Steve Gettinger reviews. That's what I thought.
Led Zeppelin record is awesome
My art teacher designed this cover in our art class
Even back then the Chinese were the Masters of Imitation and never Masters of Innovation . Back then the record reviews were doing old school ‘clickbait’ so you would read the article 😂
Take that album to a conservator
A rock critic's review is only one person's opinion and no more or less valid than anyone else's. I've always loved Led Zeppelin three and how different it was from the first two albums with it's more folk/acoustic style.
Ahhh...the days when popular was rock heavy music played by people commanding their instruments, including singing.
FREE.
No wonder they hated the press
Immigrant Song is a perfect banger, but the rest makes for a very uneven record.
First off, stop storing the record in the sleeve, that has a lot to do with it falling apart!
2nd thing is, reviews like that one, are what made Zeppelin great . They went up against the system in many way and won the battle ! Led Zeppelin forever...........
If there was no Zeppelin, we would be still listening to the Beatles 😂😂😂
Mt friend seems surprised by the chaos that is cheap Chinese fakes.
3 is kinda of a mishmash really. Led Zeppelin came off of 2 hardrocking heavy albums and went more folksie for sure.
My opinion/review after listening to this album for about the same amount of time as yourself:
The entire sounds like it is meant to sound like outtakes. Not necc. the quality of the songs but tye flow.
They really went all out on the quality didn’t they? lol
Gallows somewhere in middle of record
Since I've been loving you and immigrant song. The rest of III I had to learn to like. But, in my opinion, the crap they took for III set the stage for the fourth album, cementing them in godlike form. The ONLY song I hate of theirs is D'yr M'kr. Robert sounds sick to me. Bonham hated it too. 8th grade, switched schools, culture shock, bad time when that song came out. III has grown on me over the years simply because I needed hard angry rock back then and not so much now. Still like it, but don't need it to express anger for years of abuse.
4:00 Third swallow... great microphone... I'm gone.
Wow, what's wrong with that reviewer? 🤣
Confusing Counterfeit
That's from Taiwan, not china. fyi
Thanks.
Well said. 👍
Not bootleg, a counterfeit,
Led Zeppelin was not "a creature of the pr men", far from it.. That comment is at best simply ignorant, at worst an outright lie. LZ were never promoted by "top of the pops" which almost every British band before them. I believe no singles were released in Europe. A few were released in the US against their will. The band simply gained popularity by relentless touring and by word of mouth.
Too bad it's not a pirate Russian bone record. That would bring some serious cash.
The beatles are trite.....almost kitsch....😂
Crazy man
Counterfeit not a bootleg, Taiwanese.
Ah yes! Thank you.
Gotta sort of agree with the review... I never understood why people like the album, excluding In Thru The Out Door, this is their worst output.
